    We have been a subscriber to the *********************** since 1990. The newspaper was purchased by the Adams Publishing Group in the not too distant past.On our previous billing cycle, our 13 week rate increased $13.00. I called and spoke with a lady that could not give me a good explanation of why; only that our rate is what everyone is charged.I went online to pay our subscription for a subsequent 13 weeks today, and before paying I noticed an automatic $12.00 online viewing fee was added. I have not found nor received any previous information on either of the two rate increases shown, nor could I access a way to remove the online access fee from our account.We do not read the paper online. The deterioration of the *********************** has been very evident since the pandemic. Several reductions in the number of days the newspaper is published (from 7 to 5), fewer pages and excess paper wasted with oversized borders on pages, frequent misspellings and low quality editing, articles duplicated in multiple day's papers, receipt of newspapers in the late afternoons rather than the morning following the day the news happened (recently switched from local carriers to postal service delivery), no personnel answering phone calls during business hours.Their business practices reflect discrimination against folks that like to read the (current) newspaper, be able to hold onto the paper and easily turn the pages, be informed by the articles published and about any potential rate increases, and receive representative help from a business entity when needed.We are completely dissatisfied and will be cancelling our 34 year subscription.****** and *************************** ********************************************************
