On October 25, 2023, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11(b)(1)(2)(6)(8)(9); 326B.84 (1)(2)(15) (2022) and Minn. Rule 2891.0040, subp. 1A (2021). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to revocation of the business's residential builders contractor license and the qualifying builder registration for Dale Merkord. The business also agreed to cease and desist from acting or claiming to be a residential building contractor, remodeler or residential roofer in Minnesota. The business also agreed to a stayed penalty of $10,000.00 on the condition that the business and Mr. Merkord fully comply with the Consent Order and have not further violations of any law, rule or orders under the authority of DLI. The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to the below link.
