Just bought a new truck from here and was talking about getting new keys for my Acadia, since it only came with one. I did my due diligence, and spoke with somebody at the *** dealership and they said that I could buy keys, and have them programmed. I did my due diligence in person and over the phone before I bought these. I went and bought two key fobs and now they're telling me I have to buy them directly from them. I already spent the money to buy these because they said I could do that, and now I'm getting told something else. Instead of doing the right thing and just replacing the ones I bought they snarkily reply "well you can buy them" the two old disgruntled men were of no help and didn't care that multiple people told me I could buy elsewhere. Yes I understand that I could have easily just purchased more, but this is about principle. That the word or value of their own employees means nothing. As a female minority, you already feel intimidated at the dealership, let alone making me run back and forth over and over again. We have bought 2 trucks from them and just want what's right to be done. My ideal resolution would be that they either refund me for the ones I purchased, and I can buy them from them directly or just replace the ones I bought already.Business response

I apologize for the delay. Upon looking into *******************************' claim, I do not have any record of her purchasing a vehicle from Mauer Buick GMC. She stated in the complaint that she had purchased a new Acadia and only received one key. We have no record of this purchase and when someone buys a new vehicle from us, they receive 2 keys.
Our service manager does remember ****** coming in with aftermarket key fobs from an outside vendor asking for us to program them. She was told that we cannot program keys that are purchased aftermarket, we do not install keys that are not purchased at a GMC dealership because we are not able to successfully program them. No one at our facility told ****** that she could buys keys elsewhere and that we would install them. We are not able to reimburse her for merchandise that was not purchased at our facility.
