On January 29, 2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.805, subds 1 and 3; 326B.81; 326B.84 (1)(2)(12)(15)(2022) and Minn. Rule 2891.0040, supbs, 1A and 1E (2021). Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to the following conditions for the granting of a residential building contractors license: they will only do business in the name of Ske Shield LLC; maintain its business records at its address of record for three years in compliance with Minnesota statues; and will notify DLI within 15 days if the businesses are found to be judgement debtors. The business agreed to pay $2,000.00 of a $5,000.00 penalty with the balance stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
