My car came in with issues starting which was believed to be a battery and/or alternator problem. I asked them to check on the issue and they performed a "battery and charging system check" on my car. They called me back and gave me a quote of over $3000 to replace the alternator, battery, ball joints, and tires along with an alignment. This quote seemed way too high to me and the reason for replacing the ball joints and tires was phrased like a scare tactic rather than a real need in my car.So I asked them to remove the tires, alignment, and ball joints from the quote and it went down to just below $1700. I was very unhappy with this amount given that it is well above other quotes I got from repair shops in the area and a certified ******* dealership. After haggling and getting some discounts, I was still looking at over $1300 which was several hundred over other quotes I had received. After getting a breakdown, I found that labor was nearly $600 and they said they'd have it down within a few hours. If my math isn't mistaken, that equals out to $200+ per hour of labor which is well above state and area average. I eventually got the car fixed myself and bought all the parts myself which came in around $500 for the top-of-line parts. Based on that, the labor plus parts was around $1100. So how exactly was my original quote at $1700? The answer is that they are very overpriced compared to other shops and have some shady business practices.

My son had his 94 ***** there to have a new head, header and timing kit installed. All parts they recommended to get the car running. The bill was nearly $2800, in addition to the cost of the parts. We were contacted and told the car needed to be retrieved because the lot was being redone. Paid the bill, went to start the car, it would not run. We were told it needed a new coil. New coil installed, would not start. One decent thing they did was have the car towed back to our home, since it could not be driven after spending the better part of 3 grand. As I have started to get into what went wrong, I have found the rotor was incorrectly installed and the timing slipped at least one cog. I believe they ran the car, slipped the belt and pushed it outside. Do not use this shop for anything you you own that is mechanical and of value to you. They stole a large amount of money from my son for services they lied about completing. The car should have been drivable as the diagnosis was theirs and parts installed were recommended by them. Shame on you as a shop.
