Unfortunately, 1 star is the lowest rating I can give, or else they would get an even lower rating. I don't know where it went wrong but the person I had to deal with, Will Huckaby was no good. When I first contacted Cedar Valley it went well. I was partnered with Will, he came out to do a quick inspection and we created a claim through StateFarm. We scheduled a Virtual Inspection and the agent wanted to send someone out for a in-person inspection. Will said he will be here but he didn't show up or find someone else to come for the inspection. The in-person inspector called Will but he said that he has a house in Florida that got hit by the hurricane and left to go take care of it. Will said that someone else will show up for it but no one ever did that day and the inspection was completed without him or anyone else from Cedar Valley. I tried texting and calling Will but no answer. I called Cedar Valley mainline and told the receptionist what happened. A couple hours later Will reached out back to me and I gave him a chance so that we can fix this relationship that went south. I sent him the inspection notes and he says that we will have to file for re-inspection. I asked him how we should proceed and believe it or not, he ghosted me out again. Seems like they are just storm chasers and because of the Florida storm, they left me here and went to chase the Florida storm damage.

First off, we are the absolute opposite of "Storm Chasers" here in **. We opened in **** in MN and have been here non-stop for *************************************** ** that specialized in storm damage from back to that **** hail storm. The owners are from **,. One from ******************* and myself from **** Rapids. I am also a graduate of ******************************. Will is from our ******* office and was up helping out after the storm. His own personal house was tragically destroyed by Hurricane *** and he did leave to go deal with it. Have some compassion. Now for this "review" by someone who is not even our customer. It is inaccurate and should be directed at their insurance company. **** called us from a neighbors sign. Asked for an inspection and it was done. **** stated he did not have much damage but **** wanted to file a claim and did. State Farm did a virtual inspection, with Will present, and stated the damage was not enough to warrant replacement. **** wanted to try again with a re-inspection. **** stated he did not believe it would get fully approved but agreed to show what he did see in hopes it would be enough. He explained he would be out of town for a few days going to check on his own house that was destroyed. State Farm did not call to schedule an appointment with him and he asked **** to call and let him know when the inspection was and he would have someone else out there from our team. **** did not call and let him know. The insurance company came and again said there was not enough damage to warrant full replacement. It is not fair to try and bash a 25 year old, award winning company, by making up things like we are "storm chasers" and not being accurate about what happened. We have handled tens of thousands of happy customers here for longer than any other company that specializes in storm damage. This review is spiteful and wrong simply because **** did not get the result he wanted from the insurance company. If he asked right now for someone to be over at his house we could be there in 30 minutes. We have not "left" in 25 years. Our office is in ****** and we are restoring homes here every day. Our ******* office where Will is from has been there for 19 years as well.
