My wages have been garnished as of December 2021 which I believe is in error. The history of the events in question. I purchased a vehicle through Tri City Auto Sales in May of 2015 for the amount of $6,757.43 and a balance owed of $6,257.43. In April of 2017 the car was repossessed. In December 2017 attorneys representing Tri City Auto loans filed a claim in County of Anoka for the balance of $6,554.96. The claim was ultimately dismissed, I assumed it was due to the car being repossessed. Now in December 2021, I was advised by my employer that my wages have been garnished for this car loan. The total of the amount garnished is over $12,000, twice as much as the original loan (car price was $4,995). As the car was repossessed in should be assessed past April 2017. As I thought this issue was resolved in 2017, I would like the garnishment of my wages to be stopped immediately. The dealership has had the car since 2017, one court action was filed in December of 2017 for the amount of $6,554.96 (account number ****** attorney file number *********, attorney name ****************** No wages were garnished at that time, which I believed was due to the fact they had the car. Please help me get a resolution to this as I believe this business to be unscrupulous, unethical and sells cars that are lemons. I believe I should not have my wages garnished 5 years after Tri City Auto Sales repossessed the car. The community needs to be protected from businesses that scam people.Business response
