I took my ******** **** 350 to Victory Auto 5/8/23 for diagnosed, they said they had to do a full inspection, they told me it need a shifter motor they ordered the part replaced it, charged me ***** dollars which I paid I picked it up on the 5/16/23 and had to take it back 5/17/23 it wouldn't shift gears, they looked at it again and said the oil pan had metal shaving from the transmission and they needed to charge me additional 417 dollars for checking it again which doesn't include fixing, I paid for a full dialysis, in the beginning so they should have detected the full problem in the beginning I am out of money and my SUV still isn't fix they say it's not worth repairing and my SUV is still at their shop because I don't have 417 dollars to get it back from them.Business response

After speaking with ***** and her husband they now have a better understanding as to what has occurred with their vehicle and the diagnostic steps and procedures. ***** brought her vehicle in with it not shifting right (would not go over 20 mph) and the check engine light on. Tech drove car and confirmed the vehicle would not shift. Tech scanned the computers for codes and found multiple codes related the the shifter. After further testing it was determined the shifter assembly had failed and needed replacement. ***** was then called and given an estimate. ***** approved replacement of the shifter assembly. After the shifter was installed and the codes were cleared from the computer the tech test drove the vehicle. The vehicle now shifted properly and the check engine light did not come back on. ***** picked up the vehicle. The next day the check engine light came back on and ***** returned to Victory Auto with the vehicle to drop it off to see what the issue was. Tech scanned the vehicle and found a new code stored (P0715) This is a transmission turbine speed code. (Internal transmission code). The tech removed the transmission oil pan (this is a sealed transmission) and found excessive metal in the transmission pan. When I spoke with ***** and her husband I explained the turbine speed sensor has failed and would need replacement. I also explained with the excessive metal in the transmission pan there are probable other issues within the transmission. I explained to them that fixing the turbine speed sensor would repair the current issue but with excessive metal in the transmission the transmission would likely fail. We do not know when the failure will occur (A day a week a month or a year). At this point ***** and her husband have decided to not make any further repairs and are picking up the vehicle. We are waiving the current diagnostic charges.
