College Hunks had a 20 year old who reeked of alcohol added to the crew when I left to go pick up more of the items they missed moving from the initial location. That crewmember was yelling so loud it woke up my son from a nap and prompted my new neighbors to call me so they could complain about how loud he was specifically. They dumped trash from a wheelbarrow on my driveway and told the wheelbarrow. They grabbed monitors by the screen and refused to take an empty diaper genie. I had to explain to three separate employees that I did not want them to move an item and the fourth one moved it. I came into the garage to see they had broken a trash bag and the contents had been scattered around the garage. They did not pick it up. They tried to force me to sign a waiver absolving them of liability for breaking anything and refused to leave unless I signed it. I got on the phone with the branch manager who yelled at me over the phone and told me he would call the cops if I didn't sign. My home cameras were able to catch multiple of them slacking off on their phones for half an hour at a time while they were on the clock. I paid them and told them to get off my property. They came in thousands of dollars over other bids and thousands of dollars over budget in the end. The manager claimed they didn't know about a storage unit, but the storage unit is present on the quote. They are untrustworthy, unprofessional and downright bad at their job.

I had a number of donations to make as I am moving. Some of the furniture was high end and should have been sent to a donation center. The team stated that they would take this to a donation site (habitat for humanity) and I would be forwarded the information. I believe it was all thrown away, and they do not return email. Later I realized that they had lied as the closest site is St. *****************************, and the other site is at least 25 min away vs 8 min (and 2 miles)This is an issue on several levels, 1) false advertisement, 2) It cost the donator additional monies as it is no longer a tax deduct this from my taxes. 3) Bad for the environment.Furthermore I am upset that they would have the audacity to throw out these items, some of which were antiques. I could have had a dealer take these, but I was pressed for time.In addition, I gave each of the employees $40 cash tip for a total of $80. This is despicable.

Hired then to switch bedroom furniture on Feb 24, 2024. They proceeded to not follow any instructions and broke a brand new 1500 dresser and a 500 halloween animatronic. I contacted management immediately and was told I woukd get reimbursed after filing a complaint form. I waited over 48 jobs for a form then someone else took over and then stated they will not be reimbursing us for the damage. I tried to fight it then he proceeded to not reply. This company is not professional and a complete scam. They also double charged me and overcharged me per the quote. I need a refund asap now I am due with my baby in 4 weeks with a broken dresser and no money to get another one. Please do something about this company.

We hired ******* moving LLC DBA College Hunks to load our belongings on 10/21/23 in **********, **. They sent 3 movers to help. **** was the main guy, the two other people ******* (forget the second persons name were new , they both said they were new). They brought no tools to help break down furniture. They didn't wrap our belongings correctly, damaging our furniture in the process. We filed a claim for insurance and they have disappeared and haven't helped us at all. They then fraudulently charged my card 11/04/23 without my permission or calling me. I was forced to take a part all the furniture, wrap the majority of our picture frames. In my eyes I did 70% of the work.

Dishonest. Untrained. Unprepared. Unsafe. Made a small job huge even with me doing more work than movers. Late. Threw my boxes not meant for dumpster in garbage - tried to get my items out of dumpster and injured myself (stitches - 8). Driver/job boss called me a liar when I told he he mixed up my dumpster items with my boxes, lied to his boss on the phone, took.breaks while I worked. Didnt use ramps, Dollies, belts ir straps - called them on all the above and tried to use plastic wrap to keep 8 foot tall armoire doors closed - had no asked for and promised carts, pads etc. plastic wrap! Scratched my wood floors and armoires and never made good on having them repaired. Complete opposite of advertised definition for HUNKS: Honest, etc - doubt anyone - from movers to managers have cracked a book since junior high school - forget College

During my move on Sunday, August 27th, the movers failed to wrap my bed frame leaving it ruined with stains. Items were supposed to be wrapped and they did not wrap the bedframe per the significant stains and marks. Additionally, they did not deliver one of the patio furniture pieces and have now failed to locate it. Given this piece is part of a four piece set, I now have to buy an entirely new set. The original set is unavailable making replacing one piece impossible. The set also cost more than $400. Ive contacted support and per their insurance they offered to pay the 60 cent per pound on damages, however this is not sufficient as an entire piece was not delivered rendering the full set useless. They have been dogdging my calls and have been entirely unhelpful via email.

We had hired College Hunks to move our belongings on Friday, July 7, 2023. I had instructed the driver a way to get the closest to our door with specific instructions that there was a gully and to go a certain distance to avoid this. The driver did not, and the truck became stuck since we went over the gully. They mentioned calling a tow truck, and I told the driver I had AAA RV towing which would cover this. I went back inside to continue packing. Within the hour, the manager brought shovels and started digging up the lawn to try and unlodge a 27 foot truck. After tearing up the lawn, they decided to call a tow truck, but did not inform me this action or I would have called AAA which would have been paid for. The manager told me I would have to pay for the tow truck ($300), adding an additional cost for the move. Additionally, now the apartment complex has charged me $175 to repair the lawn. I told the manager that since I was not driving the truck, told the driver about the gully, and also told the driver I had AAA, they local manager then told her crew to just leave without loading my belonging leaving my disabled husband stranded. My complaint is that I feel they took advantage of me by their poor choices . They are blaming me because I had given them directions, which they did not follow saying I told the driver to do what he had done. Yes, but I also told him specifically how and where to drive the truck. The driver told me he was new. I am a 70 year old man and with my husband disabled, we had no choice but to agree (verbally) to pay for the tow truck. I did not have the $300 at that time.I did not drive the truck, I did not dig up the yard, nor had knowledge they were going to do that, and I was not contacted about calling a tow truck. All of the ** staff knew we were in the apartment, the door was wide open during the 4 hours they spend stuck, digging, and waiting for a tow truck and the manager had my phone number if they she did not wish to come into the building. This action cost me extra money from the time they charged me for. They also damaged a 60-year-old dresser with original knobs, which broke off completely on the top drawer and devalues the value of the dresser.I am very dissatisfied most with how it was decided to "dig" a lawn up with the driver said a tow truck would have been needed. It was the local office manager who thought digging would help remove it. It clearly was the wrong idea and it added hours of time.

I just had College Hunks take away about 6 items. I had no free estimate before hand and these were supposed to be nice, donated items to go to charity. At the end of the service, I was charged $350 including a heavy item fee.All of this was not said upfront. I got no free estimate. Then, in the end, I'm told it's $379.I am outraged. These were supposed to be "donated" items to Goodwill or Habitat for Humanity.I don't mind giving a little bit of money but this was for the company and I was taken.

Dates/Amounts of transactions:- Upfront: $199.00, 6/15/23 - Payment after move: $887.50, 6/30/23 - Total: $1086.50 Confirmation #: ******* What the business committed to provide you:- "100% stress-free moving experience"- Arrival Window: Between 1PM-3PM.- Professionally trained and licensed "expert movers."Nature of the dispute:I hired College Hunks to move my one-bedroom apartment to the North End in **********PM window for them to arrive. It gets to be ~3PM and my girlfriend and I cannot get into contact with the moving team/manager. From 2:40PM to 4:05PM, I called the Hunks' # ** times, without being get a hold of the team. The movers finally call me when they are 5 mins away and show up, beginning the move almost 1 1/2hrs late. This was very stressful because we had secured a parking permit that expired at 5pm for their moving truck. Because spots in the North End are taken quickly, I had to ask to leave my work early to go and try and protect the spot from being taken. I work as an attorney and getting permission to leave early was not easy. The movers blamed being late on a lack of planning by their manager who booked too many moves that day. Movers were unprofessional, one was very rude. Carelessly moved boxes, kept rolling the dolly over a speed bump (even though there was ample space to go around) which resulted in a flowerpot falling and smashing, and put duct tape over furnished wood damaging the stain. After unpacking we noticed that our bathroom scale was smashed. The movers did not seem to care to bring the boxes to the correct rooms, bringing up three heavy boxes clearly marked basement that I needed to move down.Despite all the stress from the lack of communication, the rush/hack job, the move starting 1 1/2 hours late, and me being forced to leave work to save the parking spot, they only compensated me $75 for the pot and damaged wood. In no way was this worth $1086 and the "stress-free moving experience" was anything but that.

Paid over $2400 to have furniture moved to my new location. College hunks loaded one truck with furniture but it was too small. I had to rent a uhaul and put remaining furniture in it plus two cars to get remaining furniture to my new location. So much furniture was damaged moving into my new home. Walls were damaged as well. Unprofessional workers that had never moved furniture before and could not handle our bulky pieces. It has been seven months and my claim has not been resolved. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
