On Saturday, March 26th, my group (8 adults) visited Spectrum Lanes. We inquired about bowling and were told that the only available lanes were in the "VIP" area. We were told that VIP bowling was $30 per person and we would have unlimited bowling for 2 hours. We paid the $240 and made our way to the lane we were assigned to. We received our lane at 11:05pm. At 12am, our lane was shut down. We went to the service desk to find out what was going on and they told us that our bowling session had ended and that if we wanted to keep bowling we would have to pay another $240. We told them that we had 1 hour left in our session and they told us our session ended at 12am, no matter what time we started. We went to the guys who sold us the VIP passes to complain and they offered to talk to the service desk on our behalf. They later came back and said "we tried you guys, sorry." So, we paid a premium for 2 hours of bowling and were only allowed to bowl for 1 hour. I called Spectrum Lanes on Monday, March 28th and asked to speak to a manager. I was transferred to a guy who did not identify himself and I explained what happened. He said there was nothing he could do because he "can't control what his employees tell people" (?) and that he would "talk to them to make sure it doesn't happen again." I insisted he make it right and he refused. He told me the only person who could make it right was the owner so I asked to talk to that person. He transferred my call (I believe the voicemail message said his name is "***"). I left a message asking for a call back and no one has called me. As I see it, we had an agreement. The agreement was 2 hours of unlimited bowling in the VIP section for $30 per person. We fulfilled our end of the bargain by paying the $240 and Spectrum Lanes reneged. As such, Spectrum Lanes owes us a 50% refund for failing to honor all of the terms of our agreement.
