Back in July 2022, I took a math placement test in order to be placed in a math class. Before this I was told by financial aid that they do not cover any classes thats below a calculus class which is a math **** once I have completed the placement test I was told. By the math placement department that I would have to take *** **** which is a class that financial aid does not cover. In that same month I did speak with a representative in the financial aid department and she also informed me that this class would not be covered by financial aid, and that I would have to pay for it out of pocket in August 2022 I spoke to my Occ Counselor, ******************* ******, who also told me the very same thing that financial aid and the math placement department told me is that this class *** **** would not be covered and I would have to pay for it out of pocket She was then trying to give me websites to go to to find scholarships and also advise me to maybe take a class or a course on this website to test out so that I could just take a higher math and that financial aid would cover it according to the enrollment department, *****************, who I spoke to on 4/14/23 at 9:05 stated that I am rolled into the *** **** on October 30, 2022 at 11:19 PM , normally when you do not pay for your class within a weeks time is what the school gives you. They automatically drop the class and this is something that they have done in the past but this particular time they claim that I wouldve had to go in to drop this course when I did go in about two weeks later this class was no longer on my schedule. It had already been dropped so I went back in and Put myself on a waiting list for two of the same classes, but at different campuses I did not put it in my schedule basket for me to show any type of payment now I never received any notification from the school saying that I was registered for this class when the class started what days and times nor which campus this class was going to be held.Initial Complaint

I registered for two classes. However on November 10th one day after a payment due date I was deregistered from the classes. It has not yet even been six business hours since this deregistration occurred. No one at the college will help me. No one is available on the phone. I am leaving voicemails after voicemail. I spoke to someone in counseling our registration who told me tough luck no recourse. I told her this is unacceptable because I have never seen this practice anywhere at any other of my several colleges and universities where I've attended and graduated from. I am a working adult. I specifically waited months to take a class in winter 2023. I would like to take this class at a specific location that allows for travel during the winter from my home to my work and to school. It is unacceptable that there was no one willing to help me register for the class for which I was previously registered and should never have been dropped from. I need to get back into this specific class in Royal oak.
