      paper is good---reporters do a good job--customer service makes promises but these are not true I cancelled 3 days after a unwanted auto renewal---repeated phone calls and and emails to **************** requesting refund of the 1 year renewal cost got the polite response of In Progress and We Will Do a Follow Up Renewal Request. Appears paper does not do refunds or their procedures and processes are flawed Final thoughts ---Trust and Reputation are very important and easily lost

      I had Bee delivery for years. After negotiations I got a decent price (what 12 pages is worth) which was due to end 10/1/23. Knowing how the Bee is, I started sending emails in Aug/Sept stating IF the Bee would honor the price I had been paying for another year, I would subscribe. If not, please TERMINATE service 10/1/23. There was more than 1 sent. Instead, they continued for days to bring it. I was out of town, neighbors called, and had to pay kid to pick them up. Then, they send me statements for $7 for papers they were told to discontinue in WRITING. I have resent and tried to contact someone that speaks decent English (I dont think they understand honor that price ) or respond to no avail as I continue to get yet another invoice. I finally called a local number 3 days ago and a woman answered (in ads I think)!and briefly told her the issue??She ASSURED me she would have someone call me, Have not heard a peep.I almost signed up for an online subscription but apparently the *** has no interest in providing decent customer service or competent billing staff.

      The Bee has become a scam artist organization. They now are signing people up for a full year service then cancelling after 3 months and telling the customer that the contract was only for 3 months. Make sure if you sign up for service that you get something in writing guaranteeing the time frame you paid for service. Its almost impossible to argue with their customer service as they are off shore and barely speak English. Better yet just ********************* on a paper giving 3 day old news.

      My phone is ************. E-mail is ******************* I see nothing has changed in your scam techniques. Although I purchased a one year subscription in mid March, I am already getting letters that my account is delinquent as of December. I just had to call again to explain that a one year subscription is 12 months. This is the 3rd time having to explain 12 months to your company. I can’t believe you are constantly trying to scam your clients.

      BEWARE POTENTIAL SUBSCRIBERS - DO NOT SUBSCRIBE - SEE MY FACTS BELOW I have been a Modesto Bee customer for over 40 years. May 2020 I cancelled my subscription due to the paper continually not being delivered. I would call and the next day receive the day before's paper. Then in November 2021 my husband went to a race and at a kiosk signed us back up for the Modesto Bee. Things were wonderful until May 30, 2022, when our carrier (***************************) had to leave for medical reasons. Now, once again my papers are not arriving, until the following day. This has occurred for four days in a row. I have called Modesto Bee everyday directly and they apologized, but to no avail. I have contacted our present carrier (*********************) everyday also.She yelled at me yesterday stating she was new and had so many papers to handle.This morning said she would have me a paper at my home within one hour. That was about 10 AM. this morning. It is now l:30 PM and I still have no paper. Now, when I attempt to call her, the phone goes directly to an answering machine. I have called the Modesto Bee ******************* each day also. They tell me they will have someone call me back. After four days of no paper, and with calls having been made requesting a return call, I still have not yet received even one call back. SO, BEWARE POTENTIAL SUBSCRIBERS, if you are moving to this area and want to get a paper. This is the worst delivery service I have ever experienced.

      We have subscribed to the modesto since @ ****. The last 10 years the home has been awful with missed days and especially the vacation holds. We cancelled subscription twice the past 5 years due to this issue. Again, last month we were asked to renew, with a promise of better service. We tried again. Last week we were out of town for one week, placed a vacation hold and received a verification. Upon returning home we had 6 newspapers stren across our driveway. Not ONE day was held! Worst delivery service ever. I don't know how they stay in business. We are cancelling home delivery again, and will never subscribed again. Too bad as we have been life-long supportes of the Bee.

      AbsolutelyTerrible customer service!! I ordered the paper home delivered on August 24. DON'T want to read it online! They said start date to be August 26. No paper delivered ever. I called every day and they all assured me it would be escalated and delivered the next day. On Sept. 1 I told the representative if I did not receive it by the 3rd I want to cancel it and receive a full refund. On Sept. 3rd I called and told them to cancel and give me a full refund. They told me it could take up to 2 weeks to get it. I called on Sept 22 and on Oct 6, and one other time I was disconnected. I was told each time they would escalate and document and it would take 1 to 2 weeks to get my money back. This is Oct 25, I still have not received my refund. HELP.
