On June 13 2022 I ordered a Minuteman Phenom 18 Vacuum and Phenom Vacuum Bags for the church and the church paid for the order. I have had multiple problems with the vacuum and problems with the vacuum bags. The vacuum is made cheap and the vacuum is breaking for normal use. I have called Michco several times to tell them I want to send the vacuum back and I want a refund.Also I asked to speak to the manger and the man on the phone would not let me.They have denied my request for a refund. The manufacture of the vacuum and Michco have both said that the vacuum is breaking from abuse on the user end.I have been a janitor for most of my life , I do not abuse vacuums. I have bought many commercial and non commercial vacuums and I have never had a vacuum to break till I got the Minuteman Vacuum.Business response

I have reviewed the photo of the damage. You can clearly see the scratch marks on the plastic and the discoloration of the plastic from stress in your photo. This is not a manufacturing defect which Minuteman would cover under warranty in my opinion. Michco does not make the decision of what is covered under Minuteman's warranty policy. This damage is caused by the unit being pushed into an object striking the plastic grill and stressing it (discoloration white lines along the joint points) and on one spot stressing it to a breaking point. Per our returns policy we do not accept used, and damaged machinery for a return.
In this photo the machine appears not to be assembled correctly. It has been a moment since I have touched one of these units, but the black side arm support appears not to be inserted into the unit. This would cause the unit to torque when pushed. Please review the operational manual to confirm proper assembly of the base to the vacuum head.

I am rejecting this response because:
I did not abuse the vacuum. The vacuum is made cheap and I have never had a vacuum to break. I want a full refund and I want the company I ordered the vacuum to pay for the return shipping.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Please contact Minuteman directly and ask for *************** the ** of Minuteman. Their warranty is not something Michco can adjust.
Their number is ************.The damage IS caused by improper use or improper assembly while using. Your photos show stress marks in the plastic telling the story of it being bashed into something like the bottom edge of a desk causing the damage, plain and simple misuse, you want to blame improper use on the product calling it a cheep product. I can assure you that this unit is not a poorly designed unit. We have sold 1000's of these and not had issues with the bodies on these machines. And I personally own one for my house and have had it for 5 years without a single issue other than changing the filter bag.
