I hired **** to run a background and one month of vehicle tracking on May 26, 2023. I informed him court was July 10, 2023 and would need the information for court. On June 30, 10 days before court I reminded him I needed the information. He made some excuses and I heart nothing until July 7. He claimed he had emailed the results. I only received a small portion of the tracker. Had to email again for the rest of the log. And now its the day of court, July 10, and I still have no background check from him. When I reached out and asked for my money back for services not rendered, he threw all the blame on me for not checking in. I have records of my check ins. He made an excuse about how his life had been a long string of tangents. He claimed he re-emailed the background. And it still never came. It is utterly useless at this point, and I still havent received it.Business response

Due to a confidentially statute, I cannot discuss this matter in detail openly on a public forum. As a result of this, my answer must be circumspect. I would need written permission from the client to even acknowledge our professional relationship, and even then I do not feel it would be in the client's best interest to do this. I will say, generally, that sometimes client's do not fully understand what they are hiring me for and the exact nature of time deadlines. I can say definitively that in no way did the production of work product impact the outcome of his/her reason for hiring me. Even though a glitch was encountered, he/she received all materials in a timely fashion as soon as the glitch was discovered, and the results of my services were communicated to his/her attorney. As is standard, he/she signed an acknowledgement that they understood that payments made to me were non-refundable. I will admit to a breakdown of communication between myself and my client. All services were performed to the highest standards and professionalism.
