Date of Transaction: 9/27/2022 Amount of Transaction: $711.67 The business was to replace the back up assist camera which they did but they had the car ready to go when we picked it up so we did not use the camera till he next day. The next day I noticed right away that the camera view was not right. The bottom 1/2 inch of the display was showing the blue sky that should have been at the top of the display. We notified him right away and took it back for them to look at. I,m not sure why he didn't notice it when he installed it. He is supposed to be a qualified warranty repair person for Chrysler. When he could not get it right we wanted him to try a different camera but he said he couldn't until he tried some other stuff. He said Chrysler would not let him return it. So we told him then just put our old camera back in and give us the money back we paid for the defective camera and we will go elsewhere and he said HE COULDN'T PUT OUR OLD ONE BACK IN BECAUSE HIS EMPLOYEE THREW IT AWAY!!!I really don't believe that because that would be the first thing an auto repair employee should be taught. The old part according to the ********************* and Repair Act is supposed to be returned to the customer at the time the repair work is completed. Section 33 (1). He has a signed posted in the office that states this. He eventually gave us a refund for the camera he ordered and tax of $535.30 and he took that camera out. But we had to leave with the hole in the trunk where the camera goes until we can find someone to fix it correctly. We were still charged for the labor. Resolve. I think he is obligated to reimburse us for our old camera which he never returned to us as required by law. He threw it away supposedly. We now have a hole in the trunk where the camera used to be which is not good in rain etc. not to mention no back up assist camera. The whole situation is very suspicious. I don't want anyone else to go through this

Dishonest charging my brand new battery that was already good. Took it back to were I got it from. Turns out to be good. They tried to over charge it to damage the cells in the battery by leaving it on for 4.5 hours. Then they tell me that my manifold exhaust has a crack in it which is not true because it's brand new and I replaced it myself. My Ford Explorer XLT was supposed to be done 2 weeks ago. And been in the shop for 3 weeks.

      OK Tire Stores, Inc. Response

      06/01/2021

We initially quoted Mr. ******** 600.00-700.00 over the phone to install his exhaust parts and was told it would be a few days before we could get started on it because of our busy schedule. Mr. ******** vehicle was towed in to our shop 5/6/21 Once we were able to start on his vehicle 5/10/21 we found that the battery would not take a charge. We removed battery so he could return to Walmart for possible warranty. We did not charge him for removing & replacing this battery. He then requested us to install struts and other parts. At this time we recommended to Mr. ******** that he might want to figure out why the vehicle is not running before he spends a lot of money installing parts on a vehicle that does not start or run. Mr. ******** persisted with his request for the installation of exhaust manifolds, struts, catalytic converter assemblies and oxygen sensors. After battery was fully charged and exhaust parts were installed vehicle barely wanted to turn over let alone start. Technician found 4 of the 6 spark plugs fouled out, wrong part number and wrong brand that is recommended for vehicle. The spark plug wires appeared old and installed in the wrong position. We then updated the estimate for repairs that would include diagnostic time to fix the no start condition. With Mr. ******** approval of said repairs we continued. Once correct plugs & wires were installed engine would fire but not stay running. We then disconnected catalytic converters so they would not be damaged in the diagnostic process. After several hours of testing with Pico Scope & diagnosing, technicians confirmed that there was spark, fuel pressure, injector pulse, cylinder compression camshaft/crankshaft correlation and Mass Air Flow voltage & communication to computer. Technicians then found that the intake manifold (not exhaust manifold per his complaint)was damaged and had holes in it causing un-monitored air into the engine. We continued to update Mr. ******** with status of repairs and the extent of time involved to diagnose issues. On 5/18/21 Mr. ******** was quoted for intake manifold which was now raising his repair costs to approximately $2,000 and there may be more issues or repairs needed once engine starts and runs consistently. Parts were ordered 5/19/21 and informed Mr. ******** it would take a number of days (5/24-5/25) to receive parts before we could resume repairs on his vehicle. Mr. ******** came to shop on 5/20/21 to inspect repairs done on vehicle he then left the shop upset the vehicle was not done and ready for pick up. We then contacted him on 5/21/21 to see if he wanted us to continue with repairs or stop at this time. We were told via text to stop all repairs. He was given his total for services and told us he would be $200 short of the total amount due. We were then told that he would not pay us anything and he was coming to remove his vehicle. After another visit to our shop he requested us to install a fuel filter and reconnect the exhaust parts. Mr. ******** came to our shop on 5/25/21 to pay for vehicle repairs and have vehicle towed home. Mr. ******** paid us with a check that had insufficient funds in the account to cover costs of repairs. We then contacted Holland Township Police to resolve the matter. Holland Twp. Police asked if we wanted to press charges. To show there were no hard feelings we declined to do so. After the police were involved Mr. ******** did make good on his payment. Mr. ******** gave us a bad review on Facebook. So we tried many times to discuss the complaints and issues Mr. ******** or show us some type of proof of wrong doing, but he would ignore us or simply respond with "that's my opinion". He is very quick to jump on his computer where we can't defend ourselves immediately to his false accusations. We were looking out for his best interest many times and made recommendations to try and save him money. Our total repair costs were hundreds of dollars less than what he was first quoted. We have all of the work we performed documented with signed estimates, texts, information stored on diagnostic computers as well as pictures of the damaged intake manifold. When it was all said and done we just wanted payment for the repairs Mr. ******** requested to start with.
