      Account with ********************** Card CBNA Opened Date: 11/20/2023 Account Number: ************ Higher **********************: $2,032.00 I have no knowledge of or relationship with Universal Card CBNA. This account, opened on 11/20/2023, is entirely fraudulent. I did not apply for any credit with this company, nor did I authorize anyone to open an account in my name. I am requesting that you investigate this account and remove it from my credit report, as it was opened without my consent.

      Universal Credit Services, Inc., is not affiliated in any way with CitiBank.

      According to various sources, ******** issues the AT&T Universal Card (which can be used to purchase products and goods from AT&T).  

      Please contact Citibank directly.

      I recieved a call from this number telling me we need to discuss a very private matter but I'm order to do this that I would have to verify my DOB and address. I said can I ask what company you are calling from she said "not until I verify who you are. You could look up the phone number on ****** and maybe get some info that way." Immediately I looked up they have a c- and are not a BBB accredited business. It all seemed extremely sketchy. Why would you not be able to tell me where you are calling me from. So stupid!

      Thank you for reaching out to Universal Credit Services, Inc. (UCS). We apologize that your recent experience was less than ideal.

      Importantly, both federal and state law prevent UCS from disclosing the existence of any debt to any third-party without authorization. To ensure legal compliance and safeguard consumer privacy, UCS representatives are required to verify that they are speaking with the correct person prior to disclosing the purpose for our call. This is especially important in the context of safeguarding protected health information, which is subject to additional protections under the **************** Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

      UCS offers several ways for consumers to verify their identity prior to any disclosure of confidential debt information. Although many consumers believe that a first and last name should be sufficient to confirm their identity, many people share the same name. We are also aware of situations where someone other than the consumer, such as a parent or roommate, have claimed to be the consumer to obtain information. 

      For these and other reasons, requesting a second identifier, such as a street address, the last four digits of ones social security number or a birth date (among other options), is a procedure specifically designed to prevent unlawful disclosure of private information to someone other than the consumer. While we understand that this policy may be frustrating to some, UCS must comply with the law, which includes safeguarding private and confidential information. Legal requirements aside, this practice also ensures that someone's private information is not shared with anyone other than the consumer. 

      At the end of the day, our representatives are consumers, too, and they strive to safeguard everyones private information as if it were their own. No consumer should ever have to worry that their private information has or may be shared by with anyone else without their express consent.
