I would recommend avoiding this collection agency at all costs as they care about privacy. When I tried really working who I spoke with while trying to give as little information as possible, their response was to react in a short & rude manner with me.Review from Shawn B

They called and claimed I owe something on a medical bill from 3 years ago. But they won't tell me what the bill is for. A test? A doctor visit? They won't tell me the name of the doctor or hospital that the bill is from. Just a dollar amount and a date in 2020. They said they can't tell me due to privacy laws. So how do I know if it is a test or procedure that I actually had? And even if it is, surely I would have gotten bills in the mail recently if I still owe this. I asked them to mail me the bills so I can verify them and they refused. They said that I was mailed the bill more than once in 2020 and 2021. I don't remember getting them. I'm almost 60 and I have lots of medical bills, so who knows. I didn't pay them. If they aren't going to mail me something, it seems like a scam. I know there is a collection agency called Congress Collections, but how do I know if this man, *******************, who is calling me even works for them. He wanted my credit card number over the phone. Nope.

I found a **** between my seat and center console in my suv it was for ***** $ I called congress collections to pay it they said the collection would stay on my credit report for 7 years but for a 100. $ they have a service to remove it . I guess I better plant 2 money trees in my backyard !Congress Collection Response

I had 2 medical bills that were paid on 4/7/2021 and they were still trying to report me as bad credit saying I have not paid these payments. Jeff Jones was extremely rude. Interrupted me as I tried to explain that one was paid directly to company that did the service and that the other was made to a different collection agency. Both again paid 4/7/2021 and he kept threatening me about my credit report being hit for this. I feel that being harassed and threatened about financial for a total of $31.62 was out of line. Also, PEOPLE make sure to keep your records this way you don't over pay to companies like this.Congress Collection Response

I founded out about a medical bill thorough the credit agency. An yearly report of my credit. They had a address I used 10 years ago. So I never got notice that I had an outstanding bill. Even after I gave the correct address I still have not seen a bill. They have spoken with my insurance company and they know it's begin worked on. But they refuse to take it off my credit. The guy I spoke with was rude and nasty. He said to me, if they can't tell him they will take care of the bill, there's nothing else to talk about. I would pay the bill. but after reading the review about the lady who did, and what happen to her, I'll just wait it out.Congress Collection Response
