We had Holland put in a furnace, central air, and hot water heater in the fall of 2017. In August of 2020, in the middle of all of the Covid craziness, our a/c compressor quit. It took them almost a week to even get out to look at it. It took them a month to get the part for the a/c that THEY HAD INSTALLED less than three years before. Of course, it was because of Covid.Fast forward to fall of 2023. Our hot water heater quit. The gas valve is bad. $900 and 1-3 days for our part. They dont stock the part for the water heater. Even the tech couldnt believe it. In the meantime, no hot water. Holland Heating and Cooling: substandard products and no service

      Dear BBB

As stated  , we installed a water heater for this customer over  6 years ago and the  water heater was out of the manufacture warranty,  Holland heating can't keep every part for every piece of equipment in stock  every made, no one can.We strive to keep the most common part  in stock. A gas valve is not a common part that goes out on a water heater, 1 to 3 day a very fast  to get a part in from the manufacture due to the current National  supply chain  shortage,

The water heater has been fix and we even gave a customer a 10% discounted.

IF you have any question please call me

October 3, 2022: My 79 year old mom had Holland go to her house because she was having trouble with her thermostat. She was told that she would be charged $100 for a service call. The tech arrived well after 5 pm and did verify that she needed a new thermostat. She told him that she did not want a programmable one but that was all he had with him. She agreed to take it. He did NOT give her an estimate of the cost beforehand. After he was finished, he gave her the bill. $99 service charge, $42.40 senior discount and ****** for the thermostat! She questioned it and was told that she was properly charged. She felt that she had no choice but to pay. The next day, she called the office and was again told that she was charged correctly. She was also told that all of their prices went up 30% after the election. She looked the thermostat up online and found it for $70 at Amazon! I am demanding a billing adjustment. He wasn't there for even a full hour.

We purchased a whole house generator from Holland Heating and Cooling. The salesperson told us we would have to upgrade our gas meter to a larger one at our own expense. We both heard him say it would be around ****** to do so. We found out after the job was done that the meter cannot go where the old one is because of space issues. The only place it can go is on the South side of our house, which includes installing a whole new gas line and meter. The cost is over 3******! We also now have discovered that they may not even be able to access the crawl space on that side of the house at all. Had we known this, we would have purchased a smaller, partial home generator, that could have used the existing meter. When I emailed Holland about this, they never responded, but told the finance company the job was done and start billing us.
