We were giving RDI Homes, LLC plenty of time to respond to our inquiry/issue. Since we provided them a lengthy period of time, a formal complaint cannot be filed with the BBB so we are posting this review instead. Our home was built in 2015 with occupancy in February 2016. It was not until January 2023 that we became aware of an issue, specifically, moisture in our closet. My husband reached out to RDI for help and/or guidance. Initially, the owner did respond and did seem to want to help. He came to a general idea of the potential issue, "there has to be a small hole somewhere in the corner letting in cold air and it yes its condensating on the wall. When it warms up I will try to swing by and take off the siding and check at the wall plates and look for a small hole between the boards to find the air leak". He requested my husband reach out to him once the weather turned warmer, and my husband did, multiple times. Emails and/or texts were sent by my husband in April, May, June and July 2023. The last communication in which the owner responded was April 2023 when he said he would look at his calendar to schedule some time. We reached out again in January 2024. We are still waiting. We understand this is 8 years after occupancy. However, an argument could be made that if there is a small hole under the siding, it likely would have been there when we took occupancy in 2016. We need this fixed for our home's integrity and for our peace of mind. What is most discouraging is the lack of communication. If you are not going to help us, tell us so. Do not lead us to believe that you will help and then decide not only to not help us but to not respond to us at all.
