On March 7 2024 i purchased a clothes dryer from a local appliance store which from day one i had problems. when i called the store they advised the machine had a one year warranty and to contact maytag. they came out 3 times replacing some parts in the machine and advised i also contact an electrician to assure my circuit breakers were ok as the dryer kept tripping the breaker this was july of 2024. the electrician came out double checked everything and advised the circuit breakers were fine and also checked the connection. the dryer worked pretty well up until october and it would either not turn on or started tripping the breaker again. with the holidays approaching i strted going to a laundery to get my clothes done. i contacted maytag againi today 1/21 and am now being told they want a report from my electrician stating all is ok as they advised their technician reported my outlet had a short. this was never told to me by the technician and my electrician had checked the connection. maytag will not even send out a technician again while i am still undr warranty and will not do anything until i again pay for an electrician to come out again and pay for a report. who is to blame here, ******* appliance in providenc who sold me a terrible machine, or maytag who will not replace the machine. i am out almost 1000 due to doing laundry outside my home, the price of the machine, and the price of an electricianInitial Complaint

I have emailed customer service multiple times with no response. & utilized their call back feature also with no call backs. I have an issue with a washer that is around 3 years old. There is a 10 year warranty which I think applies to my issue. I have seen that their customer service seems to always be an issue & would just like assistance with their product. Top load washer that no longer runs, the bucket will not spin. F7E4 is one of the error codes.Initial Complaint

In April ******* I bought a 4.5-CU High Efficiency Stackable Steam Cycle Front Load Maytag Washer machine for $1003.45. I am very disappointed with the product, because it does not drain when running WHITES, TOWELS, AND BULKY ITEMS cycles. I had contacted Maytag customer service many times, they scheduled service for July 7th, August 21st, August 28th, September 18th and the machine still doing the same. In the beginning was easy to contact Customer Service but after the last service in September, when I call, they place me on hold. I sent a letter. No answer yet. After many days traying to contact them, finally someone answered, and I asked for my money back because this washer machine has not worked since the beginning. The Customer Service representative was very nice and explained to me that I have to go through all the process before Maytag decide what are they going to do, so she scheduled other service for October 9th. This is unacceptable. I choose to buy a Maytag washer machine because their good reputation and because I have 2 friends that have Whirlpool and Maytag washer machines that are almost 20 years old and never have had a problem with them. They wash comforters and towels, and those machines work excellent. Is obvious that they do not have the same standards of quality as before. I do not want any more a Maytag washer machine, I have had a very bad experience. I had others washer machines before, but this one has been the worse. As I said before this is unacceptable. I want my money back to buy something that help me to save time as home maker, I do not want to go to a coin laundry just to wash a set of bed sheets and a blanket and have a big machine taking space in my laundry room. Maytag washer purchased May 17, 2023. Cost $570.00. The service professional says that the transmission is blown and a replacement would cost 480 plus the service call. I called Whirlpool who owns Maytag, They offered me two options, 1. Get a 90-day warranty, for ****** which would cover the cost of repair, or 2. Purchase a 1-year extended warranty for $31.99 for each month for 1 year and it would cover the cost of repair and any other issues for that year. That is ******. I purchased a brand new Maytag washing machine from Lowes in April of this year. The beginning of July, the unit quit working. I went through the Maytag 1 year warranty for service, they sent a tech out for repair twice and it was still broken. I contacted Maytag and they told me I was eligible for exchange and to contact escalation. ********************* said no Im not eligible for replacement. The service tech maytag sent from Flamingo came out a third time to work on my washing machine. It still will not run. He didnt make sure it was working before he left. Now *** spent $600 on a washing machine that quit working 3 months in, its been broken for over a month now. Ive got 3 kids going to school and its been a huge nightmare. Maytag has been really difficult to work with, as multiple customer service reps have told me conflicting information. I obviously purchased a lemon of a machine as every component has been replaced at this point.Initial Complaint

Bought washing machine model MVW5430MW1 in Oct 2023. Within 25 days the washer stopped working -unable to turn on-control board broke. Had repair person look at it, said it would be 6 weeks for replacement parts. Went back to store and asked for an exchange of same model due to early break. Store did replacement - had to wait a few weeks. New machine arrives Jan 2024. By Feb 2024 machine breaks again. Call repair person again, same issue with this machine - control board breaks, unable to start. Luckly parts from prior machine comes in - able to repair machine after waiting two weeks. In Apr 2024 machine breaks again. Wait another week for repair person. Repairer said exact same issue as other two times. Repair person said they do these repairs all day long. Now it will take another 6 weeks for parts. I have spent $733 on machine. I have had it for 6 months. It has been broken for a grand total of 2 months. I am spending $100 at laundry mat every time. Spoke with 6 people at Maytag over a two-day period. Their only offer was to extend warranty for another 6 months. No compensation. Just a bunch of useless 'I'm sorry". Their answer is to HOPE this doesn't happen anymore, but in case it does I have a few more months on warranty. This is obviously a defective model. I want my money back. The product has broken 3 times for the same issues on 2 of the same models. Product is no good. I want Maytag to honor their products and realize that making a person keep fixing the same issue is not good customer service. I would like Maytag to respond to me, I would like compensation in the form of money returned. It takes a long time to even get someone on the phone. i purchased this washing machine 5/22/23 from appliance connection invoice #******** , right out of the box the machine wouldnt fill or start, i called them and they told me to call the factory, the factory maytag said i would have to wait 10 days to get a serviceman and i waited , everyday i would unplug and plug in the machine to reset the computer as they suggested FINALLY i got it to function,- now in the last few months i have noticed my clothes are "shreeded" and smell like sewer water and detergent also when it would spin it would physically "walk" across the laundry room and the clothes would be wrapped around the agitator and i would have to push it back- last week i noticed the lid was popping open while it was shaking when i inspected it i noticed it had cracked off so i put the plastic magnet back in the hole to see if it would work and noticed a low/ no water condition so i called the factory service for repair being less than one year as i was told to do by "appliance connection"- i DID NOT use this machine since i noticed the broken lid switch - the factory came and tells me now it needs a control board AND transmission on a BRAND NEW machine - they proceeded to tell me the repair is NOT covered as "I" ALTERED the machine by putting the broken magnet back in the hole where it came out of and "I" would have to find and pay a serviceman for the repair that is under factory warranty- i refuse to pay for this defective product and demand a exchange as an "8 MONTH OLD" $900 machine should not be brokenInitial Complaint

My 11 month old dryer stopped heating first week of November. It was fixed after 3rd appt set up with appliance repair company and worked for about 2 weeks before it stopped heating again. Now I've been without a working dryer since 12/16. Some electrical wiring needs to be replaced, part was ordered 12/28. I have called Maytag almost everyday to check the status of the parts. I was told today that it could take "weeks" before the parts are shipped... Are you kidding me? You would think the part could be expedited and overnight shipped to help the customer who has been without a working appliance? I am disappointed in Maytag and will NEVER purchase a Whirpool or Maytag appliance again!!Initial Complaint

Purchased a commercial washer and dryer set September 2022. 1 Year and 2 months later, ****** stops working and throws two different faulty codes- F3E3 and F7E4. Temperature sensor and shift actuator. Reached out to Maytag customer support to be told that the 1 year warranty is up, even at 1 year and 2 months, and they will not warranty anything on the machine. Commercial series set and it breaks just past the 1 year point. I would like resolution to this. I obviously received a lemon, or maybe Maytag is now selling overpriced junk?Initial Complaint

Purchased dryer in October 2023 at HomeDepot Dryer broke November 2023 We have been without a dryer for going on 3 weeks. Maytag contracted with only one provider in our area. Provider canceled again today. First time was they didnt have the part and the second time because the technician called off. Now they are saying they cant put again until 12/27/23. I am out the expense and time of having to do laundry elsewhere. I want to return the dryer and I want to be compensated for having to pay to have laundry done.
