February 14, ******************************************************************* my back yard February 20th, Docusign a contract to complete project with specifications both written and verbal February 27 put down a $3800 down payment, Job was scheduled 4-11-23 On April 11, the job was cancelled, the weather was beautiful 70 degrees and sunny , reschedule on April 17 and cancelled On April 18th, the truck for wood supply came at 8:00am and I explained to him were to put the wood in the back yard, the driver told me he would have to wait for ALLIANCE, because they are very difficult to work with. When ALLIANCE came to my house, the worker **** was very agitated, rude, negative with intimidating altercations. **** did not want to follow the specifications that were discussed in the contract. He was scoping out my garage and wanted to place the wood there, in the driveway where I needed access to the driveway/garage.Then I called ***, asked why he was so difficulty to work with, the the workers GHOSTED ME and left. I did not ask them to leave .**** said " We are doing you a favor, to complete this job, I don't want to do this, I can make more money on another job" very rude/ intimidating. I was so upset he made me cried where I was scared of him. Then I called the office, they office workers fabricated the truth and told me *** was not in the office never return my phone calls to this day.BBB need to investigate ALLIANCE contracting license, they are scam artist who contract projects with people then GHOST them for the highest bidder for another job to make $$$$$$. They are rude, poor customer service, and breech contracts which I believe should be illegal. *** as the acting president, has no value for pet safety, damage control to the property and does not care about customer service All he care about was his restocking fees and his time he had completing a job folder. His worker left abruptly to make more money somewhere else, I did not ask them to leave

We are very sorry that this job did not work out. In our 18 years of successful business we have learned to identify potential problems. When estimating this project there were some red flags, but I thought we could work around them. After accepting the job, *** signed an ESTIMATE. We had to contact her numerous times to get a deposit. We do not schedule our projects until we receive a deposit. We had to reschedule because a previous project for a previous customer turned into something bigger once we got into it. I explained to *** that we couldn't just leave the side of an elderly couples home wide open; so we would have to reschedule. She was standoffish, despite my numerous apologies. She then requested that we reschedule the project for the next week instead of the next day, like I was proposing. When we arrived on site the day of the new job date, **** was surveying the situation trying to figure out how to get the materials into the yard. He asked *** if we could put the bags of stone mix in the garage to keep them dry until we needed them. She would not let our supplier unload the materials in the driveway until we needed them in the backyard. She then stated that she wanted all the materials kept inside out of the weather; despite being pressure treated fence materials. She also did not want us driving our small auger machine with rubber tracks in her yard; despite it being made to go in backyards. Two workers and the material delivery driver stated that the *** was being unreasonable, and they had never encountered a customer like this. I called *** and tried to sort everything out immediately, but when we got off the phone she was giving our workers and the material delivery driver a hard time. At this point I realized that we could never make *** happy, so we issued a full refund; our company having numerous hours into estimating this job, planning this job, ordering materials for this job, scheduling this job, receiving the deposit, issuing work orders, paying for delivery of materials, paying for restocking plus of these materials. I told *** I'm sorry but we cannot complete the project as planned for her. There was never any contract signed. In my 18 years of experience I've learned to identify a potentially bad customer and I feel we did ourselves a favor and saved us both a bunch of time and stress by issuing a full refund and stating that we could not meet her expectations. A company that was less than professional would have tried to push through the job and went head-on into a potential disaster. As professionals, we recognized and stated that we could not make this particular customer happy and issued a full refund along with multiple apologies. After doing some more checking around, we were told we made the right decision. I feel bad this happened, but we are not going to put up with misinformation and verbal abuse from an unrealistic customer, when we have many, many good repeat customers that we can work for without any stress.

I hired alliance to come mow my front and back yard. They mowed my front yard but neglected the back. When we called about it we were told that a neighbors car was parked in front of the entrance, and that someone came to the door. I informed them that there were several entrances to my yard and that no one came to my door. No one called me either. Myself children and dogs were on the other side of our front door, literally feet away, and never heard a knock. It's important to note that they came after 5:00pm, so I'm assuming that our house was the last one of the day, and whomever didn't want to finish the job. Whoever we spoke with after calling about it, said they could come out and re-mow.. 2 weeks later. My grass couldn't wait for 2 weeks sadly. I called and spoke with a lady that stated she would ask her boss for a reduced rate and stated she would call back, and never did. I was willing to pay something, but think it's unfair to pay full price on a job that wasn't even half completed. I assumed because I didn't get a call back that they voided my account. I paid the **** to avoid future late fees but I'm hoping for a partial refund or some other reasonable resolution.

Sounds like options were offered, but this one time mowing client declined. I'm sorry but I'm not sure long grass warrants a complaint to the BBB. Customer had the option of not paying the **** if not satisfied. I'm sure the worker was not aware of boundaries, and client did not come to door when he knocked, to ask; or move the vehicle. I'm sorry this is wasting valuable time.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below: Not paying the **** would have resulted in further late fees, I'm sure. Not paying might also result in this account being forwarded to collections which I also was not interested in. If not paying is a viable option for clients that are unhappy with services and the account won't go into further arrears, it should be stated so on the ****. I work hard for my money, this business did NOT work for the full amount of the money that I paid them, and did not complete the work agreed upon. The alternative date for mowing that was offered was set for 2 weeks away and not a viable option without risk of being reported to the city for grass length. This may seem like a waste of time to them, but it isn't to me. Just based on their condescending response and lack of willingness to discuss/negotiate/call back, its obvious where on the priority list customer satisfaction is.

We also work hard for our money. We pay competitive wages, have all the proper credentials and insurances, follow all the rules by the state, and have nice equipment. A cheap new dump truck is $55,000, a new zero turn mower is $18,000, a weed whacker is $200. Then you have the fuel, the liability insurance, the vehicle insurance the maintenance, the labor, the ********* comp, payroll taxes, state taxes, federal taxes. So to have someone drive over with fuel at over $3 a gallon to do a one-time job more or less as a favor only to find out that there is a vehicle in the driveway and the worker did not feel comfortable potentially damaging the vehicle or our equipment. We showed up to do the job we were hired to do but the customer did not make provisions necessary for us to complete the job. When the customer called the complaint we offered to redo the service at no charge. I'm sorry the timeline was not in alignment with the customer's expectations, but we also have our regular customers that are relying on us to provide the regular services with top notch professionalism. The fact is, the customer rejected our offer to redo the services at no charge (but still at our expense), the customer did not call and ask to speak directly with a manager or supervisor or the owner, and the customer willingly paid the ****; indicating that the customer was satisfied with the services. To file a frivolous complaint with the better Business bureau months later is completely ludicrous and a waste of everyone's time. If the customer had sent a note, called and asked for a manager, or not paid the **** like everyone else does, there could have been a much better resolution. If the customer had spoken to me directly, I'm sure we could have reached some resolution. However, since the customer has paid in full and accepted the services and then chose to file a complaint and potentially tarnish your reputation months later, my hands are tied.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below: The fact is my husband and I called multiple times with no resolution or call backs. I was assured that I would get a call back when the owner was contacted and receive a response back, as I stated in my original message. No one ever came to my door, or called me to verify mowing of the back yard. I am willing to provide phone records if necessary. If this business was okay with me not paying the **** I should have received a response in a timely fashion and been told that (or had it listed directly on the ****.) Its interesting to me that I'm getting such condescending responses regarding long grass not warranting bbb intervention. This is a landscaping business, long grass is the reason I hired them from the getgo and was a main concern and responsibility. I'm not sure what the cost of equipment has to do with my lack of complete service, it isn't my personal responsibility to subsidize their desired business endeavors just because. I have communicated that a partial payment is fair for a partial service. If this is such an inconvenience, please give me a partial refund. I paid the **** so that I wouldn't continue accruing "late fees".
