I am being charged property taxes that were owed by the previous home owner of my home. When the fees were explained to me by my real-estate agent and mortgage company These additional monthly fees were not disclosed. I am being charged an additional **** dollars that is not my responsibility to pay. I am also being told that if i do not pay this amount my mortgage will go up an additional 400 dollars a month, making my mortgage **** dollars a month! I am a disabled and on a fixed income, I do not receive **** a month in income so this could potentially cause me to lose my home. I feel like I was taken advantage of and it is beyond unfair. I have attempted to reach out to them for over 2 months now and have been ignored!Business response

Please accept this as a response by Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group (Gold Star)to the inquiry submitted by ******************************* through the Better Business Bureau. Gold Star takes every consumer inquiry seriously and always welcomes the opportunity to review and continuously improve our customer service.
Gold Star has completed its investigation into Ms. ********* inquiry. Based on our investigation and a review of Ms. ********* loan file, Gold Star determined that ******************** is not being charged for ******** taxes owed by the previous homeowner, but rather it appears that following the transfer of ownership of the subject ******** to ********************, the taxable value of the subject ******** increased, which, in turn, caused the ******** taxes to increase (according to tax records for 2021 and 2022).
In November 2021, Gold Star sold and transferred Ms. ********* loan to *************** & Investment LLC (***************). *************** is the current servicer of Ms. ********* loan. ***************s servicing department can be reached at ************. Any questions or concerns regarding Ms.********* ******** taxes should be directed to ***************.
Gold Star appreciates the opportunity to address Ms. ********* concerns and respond accordingly.Customer response
