We purchased a home in July 2021 and it has a propane tank that came with the house that is rusting and unkempt. I have contacted Pit Stop Fuels to pick the tank up as it is hazardous and concerning (it still has propane which would also be a refund for me) and despite making numerous calls and speaking to different people, they have never came to pick the tank up. I understood in the bad weather but we are going on the third summer of me contacting them to come and get it.Business response

Pitstop fuels has an open charge for rental of a propane tank. The Propane tank was on the property upon purchase of my home, and I have never signed a contract that I am aware of to rent said tank. They let me know a month (May 22nd) in advance that they would charge rent for the propane tank. I replied for them same day to pick up the propane tank. They have made no plans to pick up the tank and keeping sending me monthly statements with the rent charge. They say they cannot close the account till the tank is picked up. They also said over the phone that they would charge a pickup fee. I never agreed to this rental agreement and want the tank removed and bill removed.Business response

The propane tank will be picked up today 7/21/23. Once the paperwork is turned into the office and processed, the account will be closed. The account will reflect this before the end of the month.

I discontinued using Pitstop Fuels as my propane and oil provider in September of 2022. I called to have them pickup and remove their propane tank. Waited ~2 weeks called again. Was told that they were short staffed and would pick up as soon as possible. I called again each week for next seven weeks. I was told the same story each time. I left my ***** home for 4 months. Asked the property manger to call as well. He called twice , same story. I'm returning to my home on May 6th and expecting my driveway to be repaved by end of May. The 100 gallon tank is in the way and needs to be removed!Business response

I placed an order for fuel on Wednesday last week. Their website says they are delivering fuel within a week. I called today to see why they hadnt come because Im out and they said they werent coming until Friday. Unless I want to pay a fee I cant afford.Business response

This delivery was delivered to the customer ahead of the projected delivery date as stated in the customer complaint and before the customer ran out of propane. The ********************** office contacted the customer via phone today and there are no remaining issues to be worked out with the customer.
