On March 10, 2021, I contacted Cameron Paving for an estimate to pave my driveway. 1 hour later I had an appointment for the next day. At that time I was presented with multiple options. My wife and I chose what was to be the longest lasting option. This included grading our existing drive to fill low spots and help with drainage, install a base coat of asphalt and a finish coat of asphalt for a cost of $14,500. On or about April 22, 2021 the grading of the drive was done. At this time we decided to also have our front walkway added to the job for an additional cost of $2000 which was to include preparing the area, installing asphalt and a decorative stamp. On May 7, 2021 Cameron Paving came to my house to start the job. At the end on the day I was informed that the job was done, any problems just call because according ***, it was guaranteed. At that time the drive appeared to be a good job. On Sept.14th 2021, I noticed vegetation lifting the asphalt and in other areas aggregate was coming loose. On Sept 20th I contacted company, **** called back the same day and left a voicemail with her cell phone number to make an appointment for a site visit. On Sept 21st I returned the call. When **** realized it was a problem, not a new job she said her brother *** would call me back. With no response I called **** again on Sept 29th. With still no response on Sept 30th I called the main number and then the owners cell. **** told me I would get an email confirmation that they would be out in the spring to look at my concerns. After several requests the email finally came on Nov 11th. It has since come to my attention that I only have a base layer of asphalt and no finish coat. On March 17, 2022, I sent an email to **** requesting a time for **** to come and do a site visit. Again with no response on March 24, 2022 I called the main number and spoke to *** and then ****. **** was to come to my home the morning of March 25th to see for himself and he did not come or call.

      Hi ******,

I am happy that I got a chance to meet with you this morning at your site to evaluate your job. As mentioned to you, I was unaware of your previous communications and unsatisfaction with your job.  Like I mentioned today, and in response to your ******** post, I am happy to work with you to fix your job. Prior office staff have also communicated to you that we will come to your house and remedy the job once paving season starts and unfortunately we cannot do that until the roads are no longer posted and we get up and running. Please be patient while we work this repair into the upcoming season. Thank you.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business in reference to complaint #********

I am currently waiting for an e-mail from *** Cameron detailing the actions we discussed to resolve the issues with the paving.  I had hoped not to take this route but found no other way because of the lack of communication among his office staff.  I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed when resolved.

      Regards,

To whom this concerns:I wish to file a complaint against H31353635353037****31H of ******************, for breach of contract. **** H3131**31373830323838H came to my home, gave me an estimate to pave my driveway, which I paid, after we both signed his contract which stated he would pave my driveway on June 30th, 2021. I have called ************************** numerous times over the last 10 weeks asking for a specific date when he intended to pave my driveway, and he has put me off time and time again. I have included with this complaint, the letter I sent to him recently, asking for the return of my deposit. That is all I want at this point. He has no credibility, and I would rather find another contractor to pave the driveway. I have also included a copy of the contract. ************************* has neither returned my deposit, $875.00, nor contacted me at all since I sent him my request, I am not sure what else to do, though I suppose contacting a lawyer isn&#**;t out of the question. H31353635353037****31H advertises in the local ************ newspaper, in ********, **, and has an online website. I thought he would be reputable.

      Hi Lysa,

I spoke to you regarding this and apologized for the delay in schedule. This is the first time I am learning that you have called and asked for your deposit back which, since we are unable to complete your job in the period of time that you require and we anticipated, I will contact the *********** and ask that your deposit be returned in a speedy manner. I hope you can understand that unexpected repairs and weather makes it so that we have a moving schedule and we try our best to complete every job in a timely manner. I apologize that we were unable to complete the job that you requested in the time frame that was anticipated. Please feel free to call me directly at the number I email you.

      Thank you,

      ****** Wallace

Cameron paving knocked on my Door roughly 8:30 am on 4/23/2021 asking if I would like to have a top coat of asphalt done to my driveway since they were in the neighborhood and would have product there. They estimate they gave for a topcoat of asphalt was $2,200.00. I agreed and specifically told them I did NOT want my driveway built up too high. I have a garage floor that was roughly 4 inches above my drive way and told them I did NOT want it built up to that point, but to slope it to that level to make it easier to drive into it. *** (the person I spoke to) agreed. They worked on my driveway and knocked on my door for payment, at this time they only did one layer. I paid them cash (and have the receipt). They then continued to do more asphalt and ended up build my driveway up 4inches. I now have a step into my house that is 3 inches compared to the REQUIRED 7.5 inches as a natural step. This has led to numerous accidents and is now a liability. They have delayed looking at my concerns
