On 4/23/2024, BBB initiated an investigation into Book My Air Travel to research the complaints on their business file. The complaints allege paid for air travel tickets being invalid, flights being canceled and there being no options to reschedule or resolve, and poor customer service when attempting to address these concerns.
Over the course of the investigation, BBB discovered the following:BBB successfully made contact with the business to discuss investigation concerns but have since been unable to reach the business for follow-up discussion.
As of 04/23/2024, The business has not provided a formal response or action plan to address the complaints on file. This would include the complaints that have gone unresolved and the lack of transparency regarding their business model/policies.
“BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning:
Sales Issues- Consumers allege being overcharged for flights or sold additional flights under the guise of promotions, often incurring unexpected fees not disclosed at booking. They also report paying for certain services (e.g., baggage, seats) but still facing additional out-of-pocket costs.
Refund Issues- Consumers allege that after canceling flights due to overcharging or lack of booking information, they were not refunded but were instead overcharged or upsold another flight.
Customer Service Issues-Consumers allege encountering poor service or receiving inadequate information while attempting to resolve booking issues.
On 07/1/2024, BBB submitted a written request to the company encouraging the business to address the pattern of complaints regarding sales issues, refund issues, and customer service issues. As of September 2024, BBB has not received any response from the business.
BBB files indicate that this business had been sold to an owner located in Florida. On August 13th 2024, BBB requested additional information regarding the business' new location to receive consumer complaints. As of September 2024, BBB has not received any response from the business regarding this matter.
BBB shall continue to monitor this company for further developments.

booked airline tickets and they gave me a conformation number, then called back 10 minutes later and said that 2 of the 4 tickets were confirmed. The second 2 were on a standby only and that if i wanted those tickets to be confirmed I would have to pay an upgrade charge of $400+ for that to happen. I told them they could either refund my money as that's not what I paid for or confirm the other 2 tickets I paid for. They charged me for services they could not follow through on so they try to sell an upgrade charge! They tell me I can not get a refund as it was non-refundable! They sell you services they know they can not follow through on and then try to up-sell to make up for it! I am currently disputing the charges! Stay far away from this company! They did not give me the flight I paid for and made me pay an additional $722.30 to get on the flights I chose. They would not refund me. So, I was forced to pay the $722.30 or lose my original payment of $1169.05. A huge scam!Initial Complaint

On November 13, 2025 I have purchased a plane fare online thru Book My Air Travel. I got confirmation that I paid $503.26. Afterwards I got a phone call from the travel agency stating that my flight doesn't include any check-in luggage or guaranteed seat assignments. He said in order to include these services I have to upgrade and pay over $1,200. I said NO. I told him to just cancel my reservation he said it's already booked and can't be cancelled. We went back and forth for 45 minutes. I ended up talking to ****** a manager. He charged me $975.01 which is an upgrade to include check in baggage and seat assignments (aisle seat). Today I called *** and was advised that I paid $825.01 for basic economy which doesn't include guaranteed seat assignment. I told *** I paid $975.01 but *** said no the fare paid is $825.01. I tried contacting them but was on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally I called my credit card company to inquire and was told there are 2 charges $825.01 for *** and $150 for a third party called Fair Swing. I have since disputed the $150. This company is shady and should be investigated for unprofessional business practices that includes scamming customers for more money than what the airline is legitimately charging.Initial Complaint

The company is using falsified reviews. The only legit reviews are bad reviews from real people that have been scammed. They're posing as an actual air travel booking company but when you pay for your plane tickets, you get nothing.Initial Complaint

I purchased tickets from them, being third party. They have really bad customer service and was super tricky on the app checking out my tickets for 5 passengers. I will not pay whatsoever for this. I have screenshots for proof that it doesnt state anything about me booking for restricted economy, or that its nonrefundable. It also doesnt state that it doesnt have carry on for the tickets I bought. But I do need carry on, and they are shady! They want to make you pay extra for another ticket. I have searched on *******, a reliable app, now that I know that, I will always use Expedia. I searched on ******* and they have normal economy tickets which doesnt even cost the amount that they are telling me. Also sorry, I cannot really understand them over the phone at all. They are unprofessional and rude, I told them I am not paying for it, and they say why would I be lying, Im not lying, I can tell my supervisor or boss or something to tell you the same. Well you shouldnt tell a customer something like this when I am not lying either! I didnt see any info regarding the tickets Im getting are saver fare or that they are nonrefundable or no carry on!! Super upset and its holding me back to get new tickets. I am definitely disputing this transaction. But the annoying and frustrating part is the transaction is still pending! I mean I do not want to confirm or authorize any payment, but it cant go away if they dont just confirm and charge it. Im very speechless now, just want to settle this right away, and dispute this. I feel disgusted to know companies like this still able to work. They are shady and unprofessional. They are also hassling me with phone calls and just upgrade the tickets to show me the total is ******* more than original. I am not accepting any of this. Book My Air Travel. I booked a flight from *******. I got a call from a 3rd party never heard of Book My Air Travel. They wanted to charge me *** money than I agreed to. I said no. Cancel my reservation. They said they will cancel my flight & keep my money. Entire transaction took under 2 hours.
