On 12/18/23 I purchased a 2020 **** ***** ******** from Bertera Jeep in *********, **. I picked up the vehicle on 12/19/23, and since then I noticed the "auto start/stop" function did not work on the vehicle. While this is a feature I would not normally use, I wanted the vehicle looked at to make sure nothing was wrong with it. When trying to book a service appointment online, I was receiving an error stating "unknown error" which was not letting me book an appt. I called the dealership and spoke to someone in the service **** on 01/09/24 and booked an appt to have it looked at for 01/24/24. When I didn't hear anything regarding a confirmation for the appt, I contacted the dealership and was told that they didn't have an appt on the books for me. I then took the next appt available for 02/01/24. I called again on 01/26/24 to make sure that my appt was scheduled, since i had not received a confirmation and spoke to "Al F*****", supposedly the manager of the service dept, and he told me there was nothing scheduled for me. He told me to bring the car in Monday morning (01/29/24) and he would take care of it. Nothing has been done so far for the horrible service from Bertera in *********, **'s service ****, they are horrible, and they should not be allowed to work with the public!!!!!!!! They do not stand by their products!Business response

My **** subaru outback was making a funny grinding noise when driven in reverse.Took it to Bertera Subaru of Hartford, on May 4th 2022.They diagnosed the problem to be a wheel bearing issue I agreed to have it repaired, cost $628.Collected the car on May 6th, everything sounded fine a couple weeks later I heard the exact same sound. Went back to Bertera, They said the noise might sound the same but its not, as the last time they repaired the passenger side and now its the drivers side that is having wheel bearing issues. They supposed to be the expert, So I agreed to have them repair the issue cost $529.74.When I went to collect my car I noticed my *** light was on I went back inside and pointed out that issue. They took the car said they were going to look into the issue. The following day Bertera called to say it seems some one had worked on the car previously and had duct taped the *** sensor which came loose so they need to replace the sensor the cost of which would be $450.00. Again I agreed to have them fix the issue. A few days later they called to say the car was ready, when I went to pick it up, it was parked in a spot where they had to have backed it in. So I concluded it must be fine drove the car to work and parked. When I attempted to back the car out here was the same sound I took the car to have repaired. I call they said I should bring back the car so the technician can test drive it to hear the sound. This time they diagnosed it to be backing plate issue. I told them I have already paid to have the issue rectified and I am not paying to have the same issue that they keep misdiagnosing fix. They said fine they would fix it no cost to me, however the car still makes the same noise. Which they now say is the rear drive shaft, which will cost $1079.60 to repair. Now this is the 4th diagnosis for the same issue,I am now out $1607.74 car still has the issue. Tried to get the service manager on the phone only to be told he is busy and will return my call.Business response

Myself and my wife went to purchase a vehicle from bertera. With him being the sole owner. I gave them a $200 cash deposit. They gave us the run around for almost 2 weeks before they said they couldn't get a finance company. Horrible customer service. Now 3 months later we still have not received the deposit back. My wife has been in there more times. It's always an excuse. Check was mailed never received . It was sent to the wrong address when they had the right one. Plan and simple never go there. They are rude liars. I want my money. They have the receipt . John Lewis and all the employees there don't care they just want moneyBusiness response

I'd like this very soon it has now been over 4 months I have been dealing with this. I will take this further if need be. They can send a certified check that has to be signed for. On June 29th, I was charged $1000 as a deposit. I signed a purchase order. The purchase order states that the deposit is non refundable only when a Delivery (pick up) date has been established. I never had a delivery date scheduled because they were supposed to work on a better monthly payment for me. Many times the sales person contacted me and never spoke of a delivery date (I have proof of this through text messages and voice mails left by the sales person). I requested a refund and was denied, the general manager contacted me and stated that what he could do is give Repairs Credit at their repair shop, which I declined. I am attaching a copy of the purchase order where it clearly indicates that they are wrong about this and should refund me the $1000. Also I am attaching a transcript of the voice and text messages left by their sales person. I hope you can help me and make things right. Thank youBusiness response
