I paid $350.00 for 2 nites at the Mariner Motel. In addition I used a credit card for the original deposit. The person handling the transaction was this Asian guy. He said the rate was $450.00 by credit card and $350.00 if I used cash. That should have been a tip off.I did what any one who knows math would do, I paid in full with cash and the Asian guy , who looked Laotian, told me he would give me the receipt the following day. (Another red flag).The following day I informed the same person about the room smelling like mold and about a bug infestation. I got bitten all around my ankles and showed the manager, yet he refused to give me a refund. I told him I want a refund for both nights and if not for both at least for the unused night. He refused and offered no counter offer or any other assistance.I told him I want my money back and he refused.I originally requested a refund for the second night, which I did not stay, however, since the manager is such a jerk I want a total refund of both nights now.Regardless, I do not expect you to get any results. All you have to do is inform the manager that he will be summoned to court in Marlboro, which is just a short and scenic drive from lovely Falmouth.I do not know when the Mariner changed ownership because it was a decent place for the cost, however, it seems like a scam place that belongs in ** and to ice the cake the manager is an idiot. I guess the best way to describe the place now is the place ***** and likewise for the manager.Initial Complaint

Stayed at the Mariner for 5 days for around $300 under the name ********************* - room # ***. Conditions were disgusting. We needed a clean and safe place to sleep. The sheets were stained, shower would not drain and the entire place reeked of urine. The shower was wrought with mold as well which is a clear health violation. Also, our room key failed to work TWICE and we had to go to the front desk for a new key. The front desk did not verify any of our information and simply gave us a new key to our room TWICE, which made us feel incredibly unsafe since apparently anyone could be granted a key to our room. This place should not be open.
