I waited a while before I decided what I would write about SmartPak Equine, LLC. My horse had been on smartpak for several years. I spent over $200 a month for supplements from smartpak for my horse. I had him on the colic care routine which was about $100 a month alone, but it was supposed to help protect against colic and they (smartpak) would pay for colic surgery if your horse colicked it would pay up to $15,000 for surgery. It all sounds perfect. Makes you feel like your horse is protected. Well my horse died December 5 2022 from COLIC. By the time the equine dr arrived my horse was to far gone. The window to do surgery on a colicking horse is very small. I feel that this whole program is a false since of security against colic. My horse had never colicked before. The supplements was given to him religiously. All I was offered when I called was a refund for the last month and how sorry they were. I had ******** for almost 20 years. He was very special to me. I just want to make others aware that the smartpak colic care WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR HORSE and odds of getting to a place in time for surgery is slim to none Thank you for your time *****************************************

This whole situation must been so difficult and we at SmartPak are so sorry for ********'s loss of ********. Looks like we had spoken with her on 12/5/2022 and her feedback was that ******** should include vet appointments as well as colic surgery reimbursement. We understand and have passed along this feedback on the program. Our supplements are for supporting digestive issues but would not claim to prevent colic and again we can only imagine how difficult that must have been, we again are so sorry for your loss and if we can help in a anyway in the future, certainly let us know.Review from Laurie K

My auto ship was processed on a product for my horse that has special needs on May 12th. I reached out to the sales rep who set up the special arrangement to check the product prior to shipping due to packing issues in the past. I was told by ******* C that since nobody goes into the office to ship specials orders but only on Wednesdays that it would ship out next week however shed contact me with the shipping tracking numbers. Thursday morning I contacted the manager at Smartpak and explained the situation and she understood and set up an order to go out the same day. ******* C contacted me to state I called her boss and she wanted me to know the orders went out on Wednesday however couldnt provide the 8 tracking numbers for the $246 order. Told me *** was delivering that day and no order was received and the manager canceled the direct order that she placed to ensure my horse didnt run out of his special diet. My last direct ship ordered arrived 4 days after I placed the order. The frustration is that if they cant effectively process a special order they should have just shipped order directly on May 16th when I reached out and canceled the special processing of the original order Now Im down to days of the product and they are not helpful with zero update on tracking.
