      2 stars

      02/23/2022

I purchased my vehicle in full on 2/2, and picked it up by 2/5. My experience has been almost entirely terrible. I've been unhappy with the purchase every step of the way. The only thing that saves this review from being a 1-star is the cordiality of some of the employees on site. But I can't drive smiles and politeness.Once discovered, upon later further inspection, they refused to fix the broken window motor, broken USB port, broken tire sensors, etc. Saying these were accessory issues and not covered under the warranty. But they were happy to sell the car with all those issues purposefully hidden. Although I just bought a vehicle, it has sat at my mechanic's for quite a number of days to undergo further repairs costing over $500.I never thought, I'd regret buying from a dealer. My previous purchases have been from a smaller dealer and mechanic I trust. How is it that a dealership is a less trusted source for a functioning vehicle than a private seller, even with the offered "warranty"?So cons:Never on time/on schedule Car is not cleaned properly before sale Willing to sell you a car as long as the engine runs; they don't want to hear about or fix anything else Dishonest practice of shielding vehicle faults before sale. Don't trust what you're offered because they have a mechanic shop on-site. Take your vehicle to be inspected at a mechanic you trust.Although the advertisement paper stuck to the car (alongside the 'for sale' sign) proclaims "Full" warranty, they don't actually offer full warranty for the 30days of initial purchase.Bad/Peeling paint job

      Customer Response

      03/05/2022

Just adding an update to my previous review. Everything on there still stands true, but since writing that my engine light has come on, and I have had a chance to speak with **** at the dealer. My rating would probably more accurately be a 3.5.It seems it all boils down to miscommunication/poor communication. Even my emails were not responded to. I had to show up in person to get a response on all that was going on. Again, friendly enough customer service. But just like with electronics sale, it should be standard practice to share all details about a car for sale with the buyer (that means, seller should check the whole car out and include any issues that require further repair to their listing). That would allow a buyer to decide if they want to pay for the vehicle and then spend the extra funds to fix it up, however small. The buyer might have other better cost efficient options once the full picture is known.Like I said before, I also own the fault of not having a mechanic without any conflict of interest, inspect the car before purchase. I naively trusted that it wasn't necessary, and that a large dealer won't sell a vehicle issues that prevent ready use of it (like windows that are stuck open, leaving the vehicle vulnerable to theft, or tire issues that can't be fixed with a simple pump, etc.) While at the same time the dealer expected that's what I'd do and that I was purchasing the vehicle fully aware of any associated risks/malfunctions. So perhaps not purposefully dishonest/shielding vehicle faults - but definitely not mentioning any of it.
