Scheduled pick up and times 2 weeks ahead, they had not showed on date they promised. I had to call to find out that their scheduled truck broke down. They offered to find someone for an additional fee that day. Next day, I had to call again. *************************** was beligerante and nasty, stating he offered options the day before (charging more than contract I signed). Loud, no solution and ugly. Looking for a new company now, as cancelled services. Delivery neede is now late.Business response

I made an inquiry about having a car shipped. This company keeps calling. I requested to be taken off of their calling list and they hung up on me, I called back and the guy called me baby. I told him not to call me that and he stated you getting offended I was trying to give you a compliment. Then he proceeds to yell at me. I requested a supervisor and he hung upBusiness response

Unfortunately, this complaint once again is being directed to the wrong company. The details provided are beyond unacceptable and we do not conduct business in that manner. Its frustrating to keep receiving these complaints in error as our company is one of professional conduct and high standards. We are American Auto Transporters **** based in **********. We are in no shape or form affiliated with any other company of similar name. Please put into place a way of screening these complaints prior to publicizing to protect the businesses as well. I'm asking this complaint be removed and placed upon the proper company because if we do not correct this is issue the responsible parties will never be reprimanded for their negative practices. Obviously the consumer providing complaint knows who they have reached out to, therefore it is their responsibility to review the company properly.Initial Complaint

I had (tried to) use American Auto Transporters for transporting my car. A couple days before it was supposed to be picked up they called and told me they were changing the date. The document showed that it would be picked up no earlier than 7/29 but they had changed it to 7/27. I had booked the 7/29 pick up over a month in advance. When they attempted to change the date, my car was going to arrive before I was at the final destination, so I would not be able to sign for my car but they gave me no other options than to "wait for the next shipment going in this direction". They told me this could be a day or so, or up to a couple of weeks. I couldn't last that long without my car. I switched companies and had absolutely no problems. They would not give me my deposit back despite it being their fault that I had to find another company.Business response

************************* (from AAT) called me on 6/30/21 to have my car taken out of the tow yard & into a car shop. I specifically asked that it'd be 6/1/21, latest Fri 6/2. He said yes & he made a contract. 1 hr later he called to say a driver,Alex, would pick it up 6/1/21 but that it'd be $100 more- I said yes, & a new contract was made & signed. The Tow ************ wanted a "Hold Harmless" to be given to them by ******* made one, but I needed *******" last name so I texted & emailed *****, & the next day (today, 6/1) no response. I called *****(6/1) to find out the last name before faxing the document to the Tow yard & no response. I called the general ********** got another driver,****, who said he'd probably pick up the car my Mon 6/5. I said, no, & cancelled. I sent an ********** contract was cancelled but I was charged $175. When I called I was told because I cancelled the driver, even when that driver was not the original one. I have called & sent emails to ***** & no response yet.
