      Website shows a license plate report available with registered owner for $2.95, then upon being paid asks for another $9.95 to show (presumably this time?) that information.This is the very definition of bait and switch. Sleazy!

      Im sorry you did not find the information you were looking for; please know all customers are welcome to run a preliminary search. The Preliminary Search accesses peoples databases to verify that the person exists in *****************, and is just a preview of the possible results available once you've subscribed to our services.

      I have also looked on my end to see if I could help you get the results you may need, but I wasn't able to. It could be that the license plate might be restricted access under the Drivers Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) protection.

      You could start by refunding my $2.95 for a report that didn't include the registered owner information your website teases as a blurred-over component of the paid version of the report in its graphic.

      I used infotracer to look up in depth information using a tag number. I paid the first fee and did the search which didnt return much, so I paid another fee to get more in depth detail. All that gave me was the same info I could have obtained from a ***** blue book report, things I already knew. I immediately emailed them to advise I did not want their subscription and to cancel any future deductions from my credit card. Not only did they attempt to charge my card they also did not return my email nor try to contact me whatsoever until my card they tried to charge 3 different times declined. I suspected this scam would happen so I had called the credit card company before they had the chance to charge it. I will also be filing fraudulent charges for the second set of fees for the scam. Now they are spamming my email.

We were also able to explain why charges were pending on your account. We offer free reports through a 7-day trial to anyone who signs up, and on our checkout page, we state that customers are purchasing a trial that ends in seven days. It also states that it will automatically enroll the customer in a subscription to be billed monthly for $24.95 if the customer does not cancel during the trial. We provide an Order Summary on the checkout page with a checkbox for the customer to acknowledge they have read our Terms of Service and Billing Terms.

      Our Terms of Service are also available at **************************************.

      We received no cancellation request, so the system tried to charge the card on file. We can confirm that it has been canceled on our end. Rest assured, our company will no longer try to bill you. And since you were dissatisfied with the premium report you received, we have processed a refund of $9.95.       Paid to get information regarding an asset that I rent out. None the less paid for a 7 day subscription. Now I get nothing but errors and I've been charged and there is no way to cancel. Super scam in so many ways. I want a refund now. You say that you provide services in which you do not render. I will be disputing the charges. Why do you all do this to people.

      Tried purchasing the 7-day unlimited access plan for $2.95 twice, was charged both times, but never got access to the site. Instead, I got an error message and Im unable to cancel my account. The site doesnt even allow you to open an account.

      Dear ****,

      Thank you for the opportunity to respond to a recent consumer complaint on behalf of InfoPay,<******** doing business as InfoTracer (InfoPay). We are in receipt of the April 12, 2025 complaint
      filed by **** ************************************* takes its regulatory compliance and customer support seriously. To provide context to
      Mr. ******** complaint, InfoPay received two communications related to this complaint:

      1. On April 11, 2025, InfoPay received a request from ******* ******** that was sent
      from **** ******* (email: *********************** that appears to be directed to
      Shepardmullin requesting that the recipient cease and desist from any further
      unauthorized access or sharing of my private information.

      2. On April 13, 2025, InfoPay received a second communication addressed to a
      SheppardMullen from Mr. ******* (email: *********************** regarding a Notice
      of Cease and Desist for Invasion of Privacy.

      On April 16, 2025, InfoPay responded to the April 11, 2025 communication explaining that it
      does not maintain any information related to ******* *******. To conduct a further search of
      its records, InfoPay requested ******* ******** phone number and email to see if these
      identifiers were related to any records. Mr. ******* responded to InfoPay, refusing the provide
      the additional information.

      On April 16, 2025, InfoPay responded to Mr. ******* explaining that he may need to clear his
      cache/history to get accurate records within InfoPays database. No other correspondence was
      received from Mr. ******* or sent to Mr. ************************************* takes its regulatory compliance, including its privacy compliance, seriously and is
      committed to address client questions and requests. InfoPay attempted to obtain the necessary
      information to review its records in light of Mr. ******** request. Based on the information
      provided by Mr. ******** InfoPay could not identify any records in its database that match the
      individuals identifiers. As previously communicated to Mr. ******** InfoPay is willing to
      conduct additional searches on additional identifiers that he provides to InfoPay.

      website advertises that it can provide title/ownership information of vehicles but only after you pay 2.95 to sign up then additional 9.95 for "premium". After paying both fees they say the owner/title information is only available by contacting the ***. If you're a user in ** I definitely wouldn't sign up for this false advertising service. I would note that after bringing all of this to their attention they did refund both charges and cancelled my account. maybe this is worthwhile in some other states, but definitely not in **

      Yea I already said I received a refund. More importantly DPPA in ** means you can apparently never provide any of the personal info advertised on the upsell of your website. You need to be more transparent. No one in CA should ever use your service for a license check if they have to pay for it. Its much more straightforward to just contact the ***.

      Their advertising lies about what information is accessible. They said they'd provide certain information, so i purchased the service, and then they ask for more money to find the information they previously said they'd provide for the first charge. Do not support this scam site and save your money. Not only that but they initially lead on that all the information is free, when in reality it is hidden behind 2 pay walls that then automatically register your for a subscription. I cannot even confirm if the information is even available behind the send paywall. I immediately cancelled and left after that came up. This is one of the most scam my companies and processes I've ever seen.

      Use them to assist with finding info on a hit and run. They have auto signed me up for a membership for $24.95 a month. Tried contacting them to correct the issue with no proper response.

      I have found Infotracer to be a great source of info when needing to make sure the date Im about to go on is not a creep or anything. I find the information to be accurate and reliable and most importantly current (as well as history too) I have also found thier customer service support is excellent at returning my emails or calling me if I have any questions. Definitely impressed me when I needed to look up VIN numbers for buying a car. Saved me a few headaches for sure.
