We purchased a home on 1/15/2021 from this company. Since then, we have had several issues with the home. Moulding is cracking, paint is over sprayed, the floors in the entire home have been deemed to need replacement, things from the original punch list remain unfixed. We have contacted the owner and he will often not respond. They have come out to fix things and only reapply caulk to everything as if it's the solution. Now we are past our 1 year craftsmanship warranty and they are not responding at all to things that were requested to be fixed throughout the year. We got an inspection done before the 1 year was over and there were several things uncovered. We shared this with the contractor and he has not responded.

      Business response

      03/01/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/02/10) */ Letter of Case #18029791 was received in our mail today, 2/10/2022. Our office immediately contacted our vendors to provide a timeline of communication, ordering and delays of material deliveries, and attempts to schedule work to begin with the customer. Once I receive their information to properly respond with details surrounding the repairs trying to be coordinated with the customer. No refusal to address pending issues has been told to the customer. In fact, customer acknowledged the need to allow the flooring repairs to be completed before addressing any additional painting repairs. I will update this response with more details in the coming days. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/02/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Their is documented refusal to complete certain repairs in the home. Paint is not the only issue that is to be addressed. The company continues to lack communication and not respond to communications or requests. When last contacted by the company they gave the excuse of needing to paint when the floors were repaired which is the first time we've been told this by the company. Other than that, it was no communication around this matter. We would like ALL of the items from our original punch list fixes and the craftsmanship that have been unsatisfactory in our first year of owning the home. We would like them fully repaired, not just caulked as this has been done numerous times. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/02/14) */ ***Document Attached*** Per my response from 2/10/22, attached is a file with more detailed information regarding our continued attempts to complete flooring repairs at the customers home. Delays from covid/manufacturer deliveries and delays from the customer have contributed to this long process. Our intention is to complete the flooring repairs and followup with subcontractors to address other warrantable items, however, we need to owners to give us access to their home to start. See the letter and backup communications that will help with your review. If additional documentation is needed from the flooring store, I will get that as well. Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2022/02/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) To Whom It May Concern: When the contractor was contacted on September 21, 2021 regarding the dishwasher and disposal (that has nothing to do with this claim) the contractor was a few houses down at his daughters new construction so him personally coming over was not an extraordinary circumstance. The contractor and company continue to fabricate stories which is why we choose to only communicate via text or email to have proof of every conversation. The contractor expressed in his rebuttal that the sink was full of dishes which is not true. Please see the image below dated 9/23/2021 at 8:27am (Exhibit A) the same time as his screen shot. This image shows 1 dirty dish in the sink. Please take this image as proof that stories have been consistently made up and the business is not credible. There is an ongoing warranty claim on faulty floors that were installed throughout the home. We reported an issue with the floors in May 2021. Regarding the flooring company attempting to contact us, they informed me that they had the wrong number for us for months. Once the flooring company was ready to schedule a day over 8 months later, we were unavailable do to our wedding. The contractor never informed me that he could not do punch list items until flooring was put down until January 19, 2022 (Exhibit B). Please note that I questioned the contractor on this claim because it was the first time, he ever told us that we had to wait for flooring to finish things in the home. An employee of Trinity construction actually told us that he was instructed not to fix certain issues in our home (Exhibit C). We made numerous requests throughout the year (via text and email) to have punch list items remedied. **** ******* sent an employee to fix things in our home and he left the job undone. We are 1 year post move in and still have blue tape in our home. After waiting several months to have the flooring issue conclude, we inquired to pay the difference for a premium floor after having issues with the builder grade floor throughout our entire home. I personally asked the contractor if upgrading the flooring was an option, he did not hear this from the store. I PERSONALLY asked him (Exhibit D). Please use this image as another reference that the contractor does not respond to communications, and we consistently must follow up with him. There has never been a denial to access our home without giving an alternative time to come. None of the items that the contractor included in his rebuttal are concerns that we filed this initial claim about. We are concerned with the fact that our home is falling apart and the contractor and his team come with a caulk gun to fix issues that are clearly far past this point. We have made every attempt to work with the contractor before filing a claim, but his lack of response and willingness to fix issues within our home has led us here. I would like to express again, that nothing in his rebuttal addressed the issues we are having but was an attempt to take fault off of Trinity Construction and place blame on manufactures and the homeowner. Please see attached images of issues that persist in our home as of 2/16/2022 that are direct reflections of the poor craftsmanship of this home. If you need any further communication from me please do not hesitate to reach out.
