We have been with this company for 6 years now. We actualy tried 3 years ago to cancel with them when our contract was up, but they said it automatically renews if you dont send a certified letter 90 days before your contract ends. They would not work with us at all on this. They do not pick up when they are supposed to, sometimes they pick up every two weeks even though our contract and what we pay for is once a week. We waited our time and literally 5 months out from our contract being up, we started sending out one certified letter a month so to make sure they got it. I also sent emails to one of their employees, ******, making sure she got the letters and knew October 22nd was the end of our contract date and they had to pick up their dumpster then. I have all of the receipts from the certified letters, so they did receive all of them and i have the emails from ****** saying she had everything. Ever since October 22nd has passed no one will answer my phone calls or emails, including my rep ********* I have been leaving her voicemails everyday and sending emails to ******. I just need their dumpster picked up and my account closed. They also have not picked up my garbage in two weeks either. I am out of options on what to do. Thanks for the help!Business response

I have a trashcan that has been broken by Richards disposal employees. The trashcan has a crack all the way down the front. The crack is so large that you can see the trash within the can. Theyve also broken both of the wheels off of the trashcan so I cannot move it when it is full. I had my trashcan located outside of the fence but again, like I said, I cannot move it when it is full and they have not picked the trash out. They also have not provided me with a new trashcan, which I have asked repeatedly for. I have emailed and called. I have received information from an employer that I would get a new trashcan and this is not happened. They also miss handled the trash cans and throw them around the street.Business response

Good morning. This is a residential address which falls under the City of New Orleans Residential Solid Waste Contract. The only way a cart will split completely down the front is if it is over loaded and is too heavy. When the hoppers try to roll an overweight cart to the truck the wheels break due to the excessive weight and ********** on the truck will crack the cart. The can has to be placed on the curb in order for the workers to service the can. According to the city's ordinance workers can not go on personal property to service the carts. A new cart has been delivered to this address.Initial Complaint

Every month I pay $24.00 for NOLA sanitation services. I have my bill paid for June, ,but even though I had 311 issued a service request twice or ??more times today, they did not pick up my trash. I noticed that many others in adjacent neighborhoods had empty trash bins. Last Friday, they also irresponsibly did not pick up my trash even though I had issued a request with 311 before 1:00 p.m. Why am I singled out?
