I had windows replaced in the house I recently purchased. The installation was done by Colonial Glass out of Lake Charles, LA at the end of April beginning of May. Since the install I have had water come in through the window installed in my Dining Room that gathers between the double pane window and on the window ledge. I emailed Colonial Glass several times with no response. They do not answer the phone at their place of business as I have called numerous times on multiple days. I am trying to see about them coming out and rectifying the leaking windows they have installed. As is normal in the South we have been experiencing daily rainfall. The water is starting to damage the surrounding area and wall due to the faulty window install done by Colonial Glass. I would appreciate any help the BBB could supply in the issues I am having with the faulty work done by Colonial Glass.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/11/18) */ Per business; as of Oct. 20th we reached out to customer to send photos of leaking window. There has been no response from customer. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2021/11/19) */ I received a call from their office asking for pictures of the windows leaking. I inform the lady that I will do so when it rains again. She suggested that I spray the windows with water to get the necessary pictures. I then received a phone from a gentleman that claims he is working in Jennings for Colonial Glass and would be stopping by to look at the windows. I have tried contacting this gentleman several times via phone call and text message and again no response. I have called the Colonial Glass number and it is answered by a ******* pre recorded message saying the call cannot be completed as dialed. This call is being dialed directly from the Colonial Glass web page. Also, I have dialed their number as such: X-XXX-XXX-XXXX; XXX-XXX-XXXX; XXX-XXXX. Same result every time... no answer. Also a Mr. *****'s gave me a call on November 8th stating he was working in Jennings at a school and be going by my residence to check out the glass I am having trouble with. His number, XXX-XXX-XXXX has been texted and called with no response. Photos attached of leak. This business took property from my home and never returned it. They sent workers to my home to cut a mirror, and the workers said that it would have to be done at the shop and took the mirror. Numerous contacts have been made to the business they do not return any calls. They have stated that the workers are no longer employed there and that they do not know where my mirror is. I have asked that their managers call me back and have not. I asking to be compensated for the property they took from my home.Business response

Paid deposit for windows on 2/4/21 1st attempt to install 4/5/21 (windows sat in warehouse over a month- the size was never verified). all window sizes were wrong. I was told new windows would be ordered and hot shotted for install the next week. Here on 5/11/21 Still only 1 window got installed (I don't know when) NO calls at all stating when I am scheduled or when someone was coming. The window was installed incorrectly and after stating this, the company has not offered any type of resolution, I am just told to come pick up my payment. I don't appreciate someone removing my windows without a home owner there. When I tried to explain this to the Manager she refused to listen and just kept talking over me, telling me she knew what my issue was and then tried to state that I saidI didn't want them at my house. Which is NOT what was stated. Then she continually would hang up on me and refuse to let me speak to anyone else regarding the matter.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/06/09) */ I am ***** ***** the owner and I contacted Mrs. ***** and addressed her complaint to you guys. I was not aware and there was a discrepancy in the number of windows that needed to be replaced and the windows are on order and we will not charge her for the extra window. The volume workload after two hurricanes have brought on way too much work and also complaints that we have never experienced. At this time we are no longer taking residential customers until the fall due to the extreme high volume. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2021/06/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) June 11, I was scheduled to have the final window installed but yet no one showed up or even called to reschedule. I took off of work to be here for the install and they never showed and no answers to any calls I made to the office or that my husband made to the office we're answered just continuous ringing. They claim they have my final window but are not showing up when scheduled to install. Email sent to ***** showing the confirmed schedule. Pending feedback now!
