            I contacted Skyfire for a problem with my refrigerator's freezer not freezing. I had used him 2 years ago and was satisfied then. He came out in September of 2021 and added Freon and I paid him $330.00. The refrigerator started losing cooling again and I called him again on October 25, 2021. He said it needed a part that he'd have to order costing a total of $371.27. He asked for half and I gave him a check for $185.64. He came back on October 28, 2021, and said he'd installed it and said the freezer would be cold within 2 or 3 hours. I gave him a check for the balance of $185.63. The freezer did not cool as promised and I called him the next day which began days of promises to come fix it which was never done. When I contacted him, he had a million excuses. I have the texts to show all the excuses. On November 2, 2021, I demanded he either come to fix it or refund my money and neither happened. More excuses. It's obvious that he's not going to do either and after reading the complaints on the BBB website I see a pattern.

            This company is now calling itself Appliance Repair Louisville. **** news did a troubleshooter article about the owner and the article is also online. Chris Smith is the owner. Our compressor in our refrigerator went out while we were out of town. We lost about $300 worth of groceries in the refrigerator and freezer. We were referred to Appliance Repair Louisville by another company who didn't work on ** refrigerators. Chris came out and replaced the compressor but used the wrong compressor and cut the wires to the original compressor and hard wired the new compressor. He charged $1099.00 and said nothing was under warranty. The freezer still wasn't working correctly so we tried numerous times to reach him and he never called us back. Called a different company but they wouldn't work on it due to the wire splicing. Contacted ** directly and they sent a factory repairman out but he also said he couldn't work on it due to the wiring and said it was dangerous. We decided immediately to go get a new refrigerator. Please do not use this man for your repairs. He is dangerous. He's been getting away with this for several years and I don't understand why he can't be shut down. I only give 1 star because there is no zero or negative......

            I received an answer asking when this repair was done. The reply says this company never did compressor repairs. I have the repair ticket dated 7-13-22 and a business card attached says Appliance Repair Service 502-219-4628. The ticket is itemized: Labor $250.00, Parts $849.83. The signature on the ticket is illegible but I see a C......th. The letters inbetween cannot be read.
