I purchased a vehicle from Rockford Lane Auto Sales Nov, 19th 2022. Upon test driving this vehicle I had noticed a vibration at stops and a slight shifting issue, I spoke to the lot manager about my concerns, she assured me that it was simple and she would have it looked at. The lot techs pulled the car in and stated that it was a weak battery, they changed the battery and tested, they then told me there were no more issues at all so I continued with purchase. After leaving the lot with the car i purchased, I hadnt notice much change from the car but gave them benefit of the doubt, I waited a day decided since the problem wasn't fixed that I would fix the problem myself and a former Goodyear cereltefied technician I went through diagnosing the vehicle and fixing the issues one by one, the first thing I could see was oil in the spark plug wells, so I changed the valve cover gasket and fixed that issue (mind you this was one day after driving the vehicle off the lot) I have receipts from autozone that can be printed and mailed to back all the information I'm giving you. Soon after that I did more diagnosing, the vehicle still shifted hard and was idling rough the 2 things they had said they fixed. This time it was a motor/transmission mount, so I replaced those, I followed through with spark plugs and coils and about a week later fuel injectors. The check engine light had come on but after those repairs it went away. After replacing everything that tested bad, i then asked lot of they could help figure the issue out, they instructed me to drop it off for over a week, I then told them I couldn't do that. I 2 days ago on February, 8th 2022 had an immediate maintenance light come on following the car resisting to shift I took the vehicle to Rockford lane, at which they told me they don't service transmissions. I asked if they would help pay for the repair, they refused any assistance or reimbursement even after knowing about the issue from day 1 and deceiving me.Business response

Rockford Lane Auto Sales, Inc. sold *** **** a 2007 Ford Fusion on November 19, 2022. *** **** test drove the vehicle before making a decision to purchase the vehicle. The 2007 Ford Fusion was sold AS-IS. *** **** purchased the vehicle with 150,525 miles. *** **** had dropped the car off on February 9, 2023, with a complaint of a transmission problem. It was explained to him that we are not a transmission shop and that he would need to take it elsewhere. *** **** left the vehicle anyway. The miles were retrieved when the car was left on the lot, the mileage was 156,793. *** **** has only had negative things to say about the vehicle, but yet he has been able to drive 6,268 miles less than 90 days. Mr. Hart has been able to utilize his car and now complains of a transmission problem. Rockford Lane Auto Sales Inc. is not responsible for how an individual may drive or take care of their automobile. Rockford Lane Auto Sales Inc. is a used buy-here pay-here lot that sell all vehicles AS-IS not a repair shop. *** **** is the owner, and he is responsible for his vehicle.
