I contracted Lee's Heating and Air to repair an A/C unit that wasn't working at one of my rentals. They came out and said the compressor wasn't working. So I had them replace the compressor. It still didn't work, they said that the coils needed cleaning or possibly replaced. They came out and cleaned the coils. Each of these call outs I got a text saying job was done. I got another call the A/C wasn't working. I called Lee's againand complained but they never called me back. They sent the bill to the wrong address after multiple times of telling them where to send it. I ended up calling another A/C company to repair the unit and they said it wasn't working due to the poor brazing job done by Lee's. When I called them to try to resolve the bill Lee's called me a liar. I told them to send my bill to collections.Business response

We came out at the begging of June seen the compressor was bad due to poor maintenance on the equipment grass was grown up around the equipment lawn waste blown on the equipment and coils damaged. We suggest to replace the compressor and condenser coil if he was not going to go with a new system. He stated he was selling the house and just wanted to replace the compressor. We installed a new compressor June 22nd 2021 we have pictures of the pressures of the compressor and readings of the unit after the compressor was installed. A bill was sent out on June 24, 2021. Went back July 10th and cleaned condenser and recommended again replacing the condenser coil because of the condition of the coil. I personally have tried to call multiple times to check on the system with no response. The 3rd week of September we hear from Mr. ***** and is upset about his bill from June and stated another company had to fix a problem from the way the compressor was installed. I personally believed him at the time while I was on the phone because people do make mistakes, then I started looking into the history with Mr. ***** and then I saw pictures of the Freon gauges and amp draw of the compressor on both days which did not make any sense on what he said the problem was "if you like I could go into a tech detail for you" which I did go into a tech detail with Mr. ***** on how that would not be possible and then I also stated that this bill should have been taken care of back in June and why was it not taken care of. He stated because it didn't work, it was working for 2 weeks. We got into the 100’s and with the condenser coils in poor condition and the type of Freon we have to use now it puts the equipment for a loss. I offered to take $165.00 off the bill for any of the trips before and after the compressor install and just pay the compressor bill. He stated turn me into collection and hung up the phone. Hate to say this but not everyone just comes off and says that unless they have been there before with other companies. We were never told who the company was that came out so how can you believe someone 4 months later. We have called the other company and asked what the report said and if it’s our mistake we will take care of the problem and offer money back you are not going to get that from a doctor’s office. I can give you a list of people that we have refunded because we made a mistake it’s going to happen. I have been doing this for 30 years and have made plenty of mistakes not on purpose. Did not mean to run on sorry. We get people often to threaten us with bad mouthing us on social media if they have to pay their bill.
