Universal appliance sent a repairman out to fix a minor problem with my new fridge. Fridgidaire refused to pay. It was a manufactured defect. Universal appliance did not fix the problem and charged me full price. Both companies are totally at fault and should be reprimanded for such poor business practice. Just trying

Hello **** *******. We have spoken several times regarding your refrigerator experience. We billed ********** for your warranty repair and they denied it as you mentioned. I have attached the warranty invoice showing their denial. When a warranty repair is declined from the manufacturer we have no alternative but to bill the customer. You also signed the work order stating "the service performed was satisfactory and if the warranty company denied coverage you are responsible", which is attached as well. I advised you to call ********** to attempt to get a concession number to cover the repair because I agreed ********** should've covered it. However, their policy is a 10 day cosmetic warranty and they considered your repair to be cosmetic. You then explained to me that one of the parts you were being charged for did not go to your unit so I took your word for it and removed the part from your bill. Through these conversations we established your unit was not repaired although we never heard from you until you received the bill. I advised you to call ********** and get a warranty ticket with a concession since your refrigerator is still in warranty for mechanical failures; the concession would allow for cosmetic coverage. I realize the situation is not ideal and appreciate you paying the invoice, however, I have been fully transparent with you and communicated your options. I really thought we covered all bases but you have chosen to go to the BBB. I'm not sure what more I can do for you but if you're still not repaired through all this I would highly encourage you to fight it out with Frigidaire. We are both at the mercy of them.
