      I had a transmission fluid service done at Valvoline 8258 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78250 for my 2014 Toyota Prius. They used Valvoline MaxLife ATF, even though Toyota explicitly states only ATF WS should be used.
      I returned to express my concern, but the store refused to help. The technician also damaged my transmission drain plug, which I had to replace at a Toyota dealership.
      I spent over 400$ to correct the service — including proper fluid and a new plug. I am requesting a full refund due to use of incompatible fluid and the damage caused.
      Invoices, photos, and Toyota’s official service bulletin are available.
      I hope Valvoline will take accountability and do the right thing.

      I took my car here for an oil change, they did not screw in all of the screws on my engine panel cover. On my way to work the next morning, it scraped the ground causing me to have my car towed because my oil filter became loose. DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

      Avoid this location (Collierville) at all costs. They cost me over $3k in damages and refuse to pay. Even after i provided the damage report from GMC dealership stating they used the incorrect fluids and messed up my vehicle. Once i confronted the STORE MANAGER Jaylen he became extremely rude and disrespectful when i was just looking for simple answers as to why my claim was denied. You could tell he was getting very emotional about the situation and had never had to answer for his decisions face to face before. He was talking down to me saying i don’t know anything about the fluids, saying i need to go to auto zone next door and check for myself etc. which i may not not much but it’s not my job, im just going off the gmc report. Extremely unprofessional and ruled by his emotions. He never answered my questions either he just kept repeating over and over “do i know what the fluids look like, do i know what the fluids look loke?” Literally any question i started asking after that even unrelated to the fluid he just kept repeating that same line over and over again so i left. How is a customer even supposed to interact with someone like this? How does Valvoline have someone so emotionally immature in charge of the whole store? Still dealing with the issue, learn from my huge mistake DO NOT GO HERE!

      On July 19th, my husband brought our vehicle to Valvoline for a routine oil change. During this service, we were informed by Assistant Manager Mac that the technician mistakenly used the incorrect oil—specifically, oil designated for a Buick—in our Audi SUV. As a result, the vehicle began exhibiting immediate performance issues, including shaking and smoking.

      Don't Use This Company
      We took our car to get the transmission flushed. Two weeks later my car ( I bought new, never had problems before) started knocking and pulling. When my husband approached the manger he was rude and dismissive. When he finally did look at the car they documented, " guest stated transmission slipped after transmission service. Pulled check plug and filled .5qt STF to make full." Attempts to get them to repair my car were unsuccessful. Now I'm left holding the bag. Don't spend your money there.

      My Experience at the Valvoline location in Chicago Heights Il, was the absolute worse exsperience I've ever had. Not only was the staff exstemly inexperienced, but they did a poor wheel alignment job and broke my lugnut/bolt off my tire and lied and tool no responsibility for the damages caused, by saying my fairly new car came into the shop that way. They also tightened all of my remaining lugnuts on each wheel excessively tight, and not according to the car manufacturers standards, putting my family and I at extreme danger and risk for accidents and even more damage. Then to speak to the manager Theodore and have him tell me that overtighting lugnuts isn't dangerous and does not cause potential risk let me know that they are all around ill equipt to properly service anyone. I highly encourage everyone to NEVER go to the Valvoline in Chicago Heights, and anywhere else for that matter. Honestly, if one location is this terrible I definitely don't have faith in the rest. I Don't trust their service and neither should you. PLEASE BE SAFE!!

      The Valvoline location in Menomonee Falls WI stated via an email that they use the EVAC system to remove the old oil but they do not. I ended up spending $1600 for a new oil pan for my car because they striped my oil pan screw when they drained my oil. That location would not admit they did anything wrong and stated multiple times they did not strip my oil pan screw, ever though that was the only place I had my oil changed. Do not go to Valvoline unless you want to replace your oil pan.

      Valvoline in Reading MA don’t even drive nearby. They will show you many issue on your car while you’re here for a simple oil change. Then proceed to ask you if you want to fix these issues. When you say yes it’s all on you. They will claim they are not a mechanic later on and will deny they can fix your car. My story is when I came back to Valvoline after they ask me to flush my radiator, 3 months later I came back with a sensor showing low coolant. They kept putting more coolant never scan the car, so I don’t have any records on how long I have been coning back for the same issue after the flushing. When it went to almost a year, they say it wasn’t them, they are not mechanic, and it was up to me to say Yes or No if you say yes anything after that is on you. When I ask who did the radiator flushing, he no longer works here, how about the manager? No longer works here, check your camera to see how many time I come in for the same problem, well our camera recording don’t go that far. They know how to cover themselves very well. I’m telling you now Do Not even Drive By Valvoline on Main St Reading MA. They will cut your arm and take that money and you will endure the consequences of them messing up your car on your own. They claim they have a universal all model everything inside it’s a big lie. Even when they don’t have what your car requires they will say it’s universal. Be Aware! They will deny your claim! Stay away from Valvoline!

      Had an oil change done here and ended up with a leaking oil filter that nearly destroyed my engine just hours later. I had to pay out-of-pocket for emergency repairs, and Valvoline refused to take responsibility even with proof and receipts.
      They deny everything and ignore follow-ups. Would never trust them with my money again.
      Zero accountability, zero customer care.
      Turned into an oil leaking mess that costed me hundreds of dollars in repairs. Simple customer service could’ve made my experience better because mistakes do happen. But to completely disregard a paying customer and offer no support after their mistakes is the most unprofessional manner I have ever experienced with any business. Very disappointed with my experience with Valvoline.
