Our greatest pain is belief that this man, who also claims to be a Christian minister, is still targeting innocent victims for financial and personal harm while building shoddy structures in our community. He is known as Mark L. Weigel General Contractor LLC; 235 Ambassador Dr., Dry Ridge, KY 41035 (same BBB phone) & by Mark Weigel General Contractor & Associates 1000D Ambassador Ln., Dry Ridge, KY 41035. He contracted with us to build an ICF home per architectural plans he helped us design for the fixed price he set using his contract. He delayed needlessly for months, didn’t have enough workers, insisted Ben T******** & his 5 young CHILDREN construct the ICF walls, refused to follow the agreed-upon plans, & made demands for more money. He refused to build the house unless we let him do so contrary to the plans while “cutting every corner possible” in order to do what he deemed “more practical”; we didn’t. It ended up in court. The judge, who had a contracting background, determined that Weigel’s work was so substandard it could not be repaired—it had to be DEMOLISHED—and we were awarded demolition costs. The judge determined that the UNUSED materials left on site after work stopped were the only thing of value; anything Weigel touched was worthless. His mistreatment of us made more sense once we learned about his criminal convictions in OH, MN, and KY, including a felony conviction for misappropriation of proceeds from a mortgage loan in KY that he concealed while under oath in deposition and had to admit at trial. He has a felony conviction for receiving stolen property, is convicted of fleeing an officer, referred to himself as a former “drug dealer” who “struggled with drug and alcohol addictions for over 40 years” and “spent many years sitting in jail cells.” Thus, Weigel consumed three years of our lives with his deceit, greed, and incompetence, such that we must start all over again. This Woman that wrote this review lies and steals from people. I have been a General Contractor for 45 years and she is the only person that has ever found fault with my work. Her husband is well known as the "Lego Man of Phoenix Arizona who was caught with $250,000 worth of stolen Legos he was selling on the black market. The job she is referring to and lying about was done in Grant County Kentucky. The building inspector Tony A******* did all of the inspections and said the work was perfect. You can easily verify this with him in Dry Ridge Kentucky. The problem is they never intended to pay me and three years later they still have the structure standing and are planning to build on it. Nothing was torn down. They are liars and thieves. At the end of the day the judge had her write me a check.
