We have used Crestwood Plumbing for years. We've always been pleased with the company as a whole, for the most part. They employ one plumber that has consistently been assigned to our several properties this past year. We believe he is not at the level to run a job as their other plumber. Several jobs ago we trusted his recommendation and now we believe that was wrong. He then installed a water heater incorrectly (after the first one was also installed wrong and got ruined / we paid full price for both heaters). This past incident, his time spent here was trying to convince us to do MASSIVE destruction to our basement to look for the very thing right in front of him but he denied that was what we were telling him. He argued with us for several hours and we asked him to leave. We called another company out and bam, done. If Crestwood Plumbing did what they recommended we would have spent thousands and thousands of dollars not only on the job but the destruction of our basement! Then we got a bill for $550. After speaking with the office and them speaking with the owner, Jerry, it was cut in half. I requested reason for even a bill at all?!? They did NOTHING but argue about what they wanted to do. They were going to get back to us. They didn't. They sent us a new bill for half, $275.00. I called and spoke with Jerry. First of all, I do not appreciate being cussed at when I pointed out that his employee did nothing. He verbally agreed that I didn't have to pay anything with the condition we never call on them again (which was already a decision we made based on the last several calls). When I requested an updated invoice stating a closed ticket with a zero balance he (Jerry, the owner of Crestwood Plumbing) cussed at me again. He refused. Not only are we disappointed that a local, small company behaves in this manner we feel it to be neighborly that we warn our neighbors of the kind of business practice Crestwood Plumbing currently has. Be warned.Crestwood Plumbing, Inc. Response

I am responding with reference to a complaint submitted by Ms. ********** of Waldeck Farms on October 7, 2021. On 9/28/21 Ms. ********** called to schedule an appointment with a request to run a camera because the sewer line was backed. The plumber/helper was dispatched the same day. Plumber ran sewer machine through floor drain and ran camera through clean-out outside away from home and towards home, H/O stated that this clean out was for sewer after running camera was able to determine that the 3 clean-outs were not likely the sewer and are a part of an old storm drain system. Recommended that we cut cast iron in basement and install clean out to determine the whereabouts of sewer piping. Need 6” SDR cap ASAP. This cap was bought, delivered and installed. On 10/1/21 Ms. ********** called our office complaining about the bill Waldeck Farms received for $550 and wanted the water heater which was installed and already raised to be raised higher. After speaking with the Owner, the Receptionist/Dispatcher called Ms. ********** on 10/4/21 and told her that the Owner would reduce the bill by half and would send a different plumber, who had been there many times in the past, to raise the water heater and give a second opinion on her concerns of what needed to be done. The receptionist was put on hold while Ms. ********** spoke with David *******, Owner of Waldeck Mansion. When she returned to the call she stated that unless the bill was reduced to zero she did not want anyone from Crestwood Plumbing to return. As a courtesy the invoice was reduced by half to $275 and a revised invoice was mailed. Upon receiving the revised invoice, Ms. ********** called the office on 10/7/21 and wanted to speak to the owner. The Owner spoke with Ms. ********** who insisted that the invoice be reduced to zero and was insistent that this be done and a revised invoice with a zero balance be mailed to Waldeck Farms. The Owner told her not to pay the invoice asked Ms. ********** to not call Crestwood Plumbing for future plumbing needs. On 10/7/21 a revised invoice was mailed to Waldeck Farms with a copy emailed to David ******* showing a zero balance with all conversations noted on the invoice. Crestwood Plumbing has had a good working relationship with Waldeck Farms since 2014 and with their tenant house since 2010. As a courtesy to resolve this issue we sent a statement with a zero balance to Waldeck Farms and Mr. *******. As the Office Manager I was present during both of the conversations Ms. ********** writes about in her complaint. Our office responded promptly to her concerns, we adjusted her billing, we were sending a different plumber to review the concerns and this was turned away, and Mr. Head did not at any time cuss during his phone conversation with Ms. Mazurowski. We have no record of 2 water heaters being installed; Ms. Maurowski wanted the one installed on 8/26/21 to be raised. It is a shame that Ms. ********** has taken it upon herself to slander Crestwood Plumbing across every social media outlet available to her when we have done everything she has asked to get $550 worth of work for nothing. The line in question is 100% the sewer line. That has been determined by another company as well as the company that installed it in 1992. The plumber flat out denied it was the sewer line. He wanted to jackhammer the mansion's basement and cut out cast iron pipes to search for what was already right in front of him. They did not run a camera or unstop ANYTHING at all. They have installed two water heaters, both incorrectly. One directly on the floor without a pan and the other only 2 inches off the floor with porous materials that suck up moisture and water which caused the water heater to malfunction so that it becomes useless. Jerry, the owner said he would not give me a closed ticket and cussed me out when I pressed him for it. In fact, he cussed at me several times during our conversation. The other plumber in question, Chad, was only offered to us after the fact and before it was determined that the open ticket be reduced to zero. Since the original plumbers did absolutely nothing and recommendations were destructive to the property we feel we owe nothing. As far as sending the ticket and it showing a zero balance, the owner, Jerry said he would not. We received the adjusted, zero balance ticket this morning, October 8th, via email. It was sent to Mr. Gleason's email and not mine. As far as my "blast" across social media, that was after the conversation in which I was so rudely cussed at and before receiving the closed ticket. I have a right to my opinion. Every single word of it is truthful. Crestwood Plumbing wanted to destroy a historic home's basement to search for pipes that were right in front of them the entire time.
