Long story short they came out slapped new plywood over rotted out plywood which has both black and white mold . With the roof still being under warranty I asked if they would be able to come out and help me fix the situation I never got a call back. Unfortunately it comes down to the health of my family that is really frustrating me right now we have pretty much stayed sick while living in the home so keep on mind that you will get no warranty work if something comes up. I'd look for a company with some integrity for your roofing job.

Had very good experience with this company over the years, however... we had them put new shingles on the roof, reinstall all of the roof vents, put flashing around a chimney, and install two new roof /exhaust vents for new exhaust fans in the kitchen, some months ago (2021)... since then, a substantial leak was discovered recently (2021) during a big downpour... they came out and applied some sealant to one of the vents, and no leak has been detected since... although there have been no big rains/wind since then that would verify the 'fix'. Upon further inspection of the two new vents they installed, we are still concerned that the job on these two vents was not done well, and may still have vulnerabilities during a heavy downpour. Additionally, the underside (attic side) of the vents is not sealed away from mice, rats, or snakes, and does not 'allow' the vent to be connected to the exhaust pipe in any way that the exhaust would be directed entirely through the roof (and not into the attic space). They have cut a hole in the roof that is too big, then created a 'makeshift' flange out of a length of sheetmetal pipe, by slicing the end, and splaying out 'tabs' tacking these onto the roof, leaving large triangle-shaped holes between each 'tab'... thus,the whole thing allows the exhaust to reverse back down into the attic, and could allow rodents/snakes to enter the holes and fall down into the pipe. This vent also leaked (a lot). There are a lot of water stains running from this vent along the underside of the roof down to the outside walls and eaves. Other evidence of new water damage is directly under this vent (on the ceiling below it). When we pointed this out, their rep refused to acknowledge that they installed the pipe at all (aside from witnesses who saw them do it, clearly, the only humans on earth who could have installed these pipes with those 'tabs' across their hole, and attached between the roof plywood and shingles, are Appelhanz Roofing crew. One of the pipes is an 8" pipe coming down over (like a sleeve) a 6" pipe coming up from the stove exhaust (an inch of loose space all around). Not good. The other vent was the one that leaked. When confronted with the obvious truth about a job NOT well done (and after hearing his dismissal of responsibility), the rep snidely said: "I could just do nothing, and leave you with solving the problem yourself!". Really? Wow! That's not how you deal with loyal customers! We feel his tone changed when we mentioned the water stains and mold. Apparently, he thinks (foolishly) that doing 'nothing' puts his company in a better position! His company would be liable for any further damages caused by any continued leaks (or a rodent stuck in our microwave)! When, we mentioned this in response to his comment, he simply threw up his hands, turned around, and left us standing there. Perhaps, Appelhanz trains its people to go silent whenever the words 'Liability' or 'lawsuit' are used by a customer responding to their own threats to leave us with no recourse! Completely unacceptable! Any customer would be appalled... as we were! As of now, we have no idea what their current position is... have they really decided to do nothing to address the issues we ALL know remain? What should we do next? Wait for more damage to accumulate? We would like to give them a chance to correct their errors... clearly, there is a limited time available for them to do this.
