              My 75 year old mother agreed to a bid for **** ****** to paint the interior of her house and remove popcorn ceilings. To start with when she agreed to hire him, he pulled her down on his lap and said “We are going to work well together”. This was very uncomfortable and stressful for her, not to mention inappropriate. She agreed to pay him $6300 up front for materials and labor for phase 1 and would pay after each phase. He wasn’t doing the work as he said he would and was not working full days, so he was way behind schedule. He started packing up his stuff slowly hoping she wouldn’t notice. At the end of one day with even being close to halfway done with the job, he told her he needed another $4000, preferably in cash. After she said that was not part of the agreement and she would pay as agreed. He left and never came back and owes her money for unfinished work. He has done this with others and should. It be able to continue doing this. He will not answer his phone or return a call.
