      BUYER BEWARE! When you see this statement on their website: "We get it, most contractors don't show up and don't get the job done. Not us. We always show up, call back, and follow up when the job is finished" do NOT believe them! I went with Shull for my roof because of the quality of the ******** products and the training and professionalism that I was told goes into their roofs. That is not what I got. The materials on the contract I signed are not what were installed on my roof. I would not have known had I not been here during the installation. Seems like a bait and switch. I was never notified nor did I authorize any changes to the items on my contract. Workmanship was not what I was expecting. Shortcuts were taken. Ex: Old flashing was never removed or replaced. Parts of the roof did not receive the OSB as they should have. Some shingles were not nailed down! Crew littered my yard with garbage and left behind so many nails and screws, we are still finding them 3 weeks later. The one day job is still not completed 3+ weeks later. Crew was supposed to be here this past Friday morning to do more work. I was not notified until after noon that the truck broke down and they would not be coming that day. You can never get a straight answer or the truth from them. When I finally did get a response from Ryan ***** he insulted me right off the bat. Told me yet another lie and kept referring to these contract changes as "honest mistakes". Finished by saying they would make it right. I responded to his email right away and his response (quote) "I am not even beginning to read that book of an email." Finished by saying "there is nothing more I can do for you." I have documentation, photos, nails/screws, etc to provide if needed. I am not convinced that this roof was done correctly and we won't have issues down the road. The head salesman told me that "warranties can be a ************** so I can't trust in the future they will stand behind theirs. I want it done right, now.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/15) */ Our team are human, and we have made some mistakes on this job. A plan for mitigation was discussed with the homeowner, and we are moving forward with that plan. We are still not finished, but we are doing everything we can to make it right. We have not asked for final payment or stated that the job is in any way complete. The crew was scheduled for today, but today did not go as planned. The homeowner was contacted regarding rescheduling for tomorrow. I have already extended discounts to the homeowner due to the miscommunications within our production team. I have addressed all of her concerns. We have every intention of finishing the job in a workman like manner, I only ask that the homeowner cease the degradation of our team in emails, phone calls, on social media, the internet, or in person. We ask that our workers and our management team be treated with respect as we move forward towards completion. We have been yelled at, interrogated, and insulted enough that no one in this company wants to deal with this customer. I am pushing this job forward and needing to send new people out with every encounter. I am running out of people to send. I am asking for patience and flexibility as we finish. As always, our 2-year craftsmanship warranty and 10-year leak free warranty will be in affect when the job is complete and the invoice is paid. Since Mr. ******* response the crew did show up to redo the back part of our roof and to finish the flashing and window wraps. While the flashing and wraps look great, the roof was again not finished correctly or completely. I hired a professional roofer with no stake in the game to verify we were seeing what we were seeing. Not only did he confirm all our concerns we had been expressing, he also discovered other issues we would not see from ground level. Mr ***** and I have been in contact a couple of times over the past week and have come to the following resolution. In the email he sent to me he stated, "We have made the decision to re-do your shingles and underlayment at our cost. This has been a mess, and I am done trying to fix what is there. We are going (to) tear off the shingles and underlayment, make needed repairs, address the issues with the drip edge, install ******** underlayment and shingles, and I will personally supervise and inspect." Mr ***** also advised me the previous crew had been let go and he would be bringing a crew along this time that has a longer history of "turning out good work" for them. I am looking forward to getting this job completed the right way and according to the contract I signed. I look forward to meeting Mr. ***** at some point and I hope that he will see I am not the difficult person I have been made out to be. I will treat him with the same level of professionalism and kindness that I have treated every member of his crew and team that has come to my house in the past. Mr. ***** and I are both looking forward to a "fresh start". I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you for your help in this matter.

      They broke a window during installation and will not replace the window. They keep telling me it's not there yet from the plant.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/19) */ I spoke with Patti today in hopes of resolving this issue. It seems we have come to an understanding. There was a delay in ordering the replacement sash due to confusion as to which window was cracked. At this point, the replacement sash has been ordered, but we are now on the timeline of the manufacturer. ****** covers all glass breakage through their warranty, no questions asked, so this comes at no cost to us or the customer. I called the manufacturer, ******, and they gave me a tentative ship date of December 2. This is not a guaranteed ship date yet, but that corresponds with delivery to our shop on December 14. Once we get a guaranteed ship date, I will set a time with Patti for installation. While we are there, I would encourage Patti to do a walk through with the installer to be sure any and all concerns are taken care of. Patti, I apologize for the delay. We appreciate your business and will do everything we can to make it right. -Ryan *****
