- Additional Info:The company is a non-profit Servicemen's Association which began business June 1, 1959. Its primary purpose is to provide group life insurance to military personnel, active duty and retired AND to federal employees. The plan is now offered to the public. A one-time membership fee of $2.00 is charged. Both group term and group permanent life insurance are issued. Each member receives a certificate of insurance in accordance with the master group policies which are underwritten by the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company of Newark, New Jersey. All information regarding the association and its insurance is reported to be on file with the Department of Defense, and the master policies approved by the Missouri Insurance Department.
