Ryan's has constantly been a terrible service provider and with customer service. So much money wasted on applications to remove moles, and only one attempt to rectify their inability. However, it just came to my attention that a tree they planted two years ago was planted wrong and that it is now dead. I do not recall the price to even have it planted, but it was several hundred dollars. Additionally, the tree has sentimental value. And I approached them in person in order to rectify this situation, but was told it fell outside the warranty, even though an arborist visited last year and did not notice that the tree had been planted wrong. Now I have a dead tree that I have to remove, and plant a new one, and they are offering nothing, only reminding me of the balance I have due that they also did not try to work with me before sending to collections. I paid for my fall application on 11/26 in the amount of 82.34 (confirmation number 4yjgm). I continued to get a bill for this application. I had assumed in error. After a few months I finally reached out in frustration and was told that the original payment had not processed due to an "internal glitch" in their system. They were going to confirm that with their accounting dept. and get back to me. I didn't hear back for several days. Once I did hear back they told me to double check my bank account and make the payment online if it had not processed. However, the next day I received a notice from a collections agency for this amount! They turned me over to collections on a bill that I thought I had already paid. This was their systems error yet my credit is now impacted. I reached out to speak with a manager or accounting person and I can't get anyone to return my calls.Business response

Paid for services - Annual Backflow test - results have not been received by The City of Wichita. As of 7/26/2022 The City of Wichita has not received the test results (notified me by letter) that Ryan Lawn & Tree claimed to have submitted 4/25/2022 by ***** *******. I spoke with a person on 7/7/22, who said there was a problem with the system and it would need to be resubmitted. On 7/21/2022 I spoke with *****, who says this happens each year (they submit the documentation to the city and the city claims they didn't receive) and that someone would resubmit it. On 7/26/2022 I spoke to ***** again - same story, not helpful. When asking to speak to the person in charge I was forwarded to voicemail (***** ****).Business response

I called Ryan Lawn on Wednesday 8/25/2021 sent a pic to ****** ********** * *****e said he did not have anything on is truck to spray it at the time but made a professional call and told me to dig the weeds up- Now note I have brown spots ALL over my lawn- I paid this month $575.54 and I was told to dig up my weeds and this is ONLY for my front lawn. I requested supervior to call and or visit on Friday8/28/2021 9 am and Tuesday at 4 pm 8/31/2021 no return call but said supervisor would call Ronnie my technician & i guess supervisor called I said he didn't think I wanted anyone to come back out- He arrived this morning 9/1/2021 said he sprayed the weeds and not sure if it will work I SAID I have always had the BEST and Greeniest Lawn on the block this lawn looks sad and in the $575 amount the sprayed for bugs and I have weeds and bugs - Ronnie said NOTHING can be done and I said this I guess I'm finished with Lawn weed services - They do plant my grass seeds-Business response

In March of this year I contracted with RLT to have my front yard verti-sliced and seeded after a kill-off of the existing turf. At the time I was told by **** (the tech) that in 5 weeks after verti-slicing and reseeding that I would have a beautiful front yard and that he would be careful during application of the killing agent that all my perennial beds would be safe. Some of my perennials were killed in the process of killing off the turf. After the kill-off, **** came out with ********* to verti-slice and seed the front yard. While verti-slicing, one of the wheels came off the verti-slicer, but **** continued on, heedless of the lost wheel. His manager ********* was on site at the time. Three weeks later, when the seed was coming up, it was clear that numerous large patches of the turf had NO seed growing. I contacted **** and his manager ********* to tell them I was not pleased with the appearance of the yard, but they stated that it was "normal to have brown patches".Business response

We understand Mr. ******** frustration. We encourage customers to seed in the fall as the season yields more success for turf growth. As we mentioned to Mr. ****** at the time of the request, spring seeding is very dependent on the weather and often can result in spots that need to be reseeded in the fall. As mentioned to Mr. ******, all seeding, regardless of the season, relies heavily on the customer to ensure proper irrigation for turf growth success.
Mr. ****** filed a complaint with our customer service team, both his route manager and our branch manager called and left several voicemail messages to which Mr. ****** declined to return in kind. We have offered to come back in the fall and spot seed the bare spots as our only option as there is nothing we can do during the summer months.We have refunded Mr. ******'s $150.
