Lying, harassment, no communication whatsoever. I got evicted because they were upset I reported a serious mold issue that sent me to the E.R. (Where I was told I had mold indications in my lungs and many more issues due to the stress and very toxic environment.) McCullough Development never once took me seriously, even after I sent the doctor's officials report on me and then started to harass me and my fiancé. The new Property Manager came banging on our door wanting us up open up for nonpayment even tho we sent $1570 that we owed and confirmed with him. He said we should be on top of that if it didn't go through, yet he never even called or emailed once to say there was an issue with that. My fiancée and I haven't been able to work much because of the mold exposure and my history of respiratory issues and us being scared to leave our home because we have had pest control just walk into our apartment 15 minutes before the scheduled time and we heard maintenance in many places at McCullough Development just come in whenever and steal stuff. No care for their residents and will retaliate and harass you when you fight them for your basic right as a tenant, to breathe and feel safe in your own apartment. Don't ever rent from them. *************************************************************** *************************************************************** ** They own many properties in Manhattan and some in Junction City. So, be careful because they will let you go months without breathing right and are forced to take steroids to help, and it won't.

The complainant was evicted for non-payment of rent, which is a breach of contract as it was stipulated and agreed upon on in the lease agreement the complainant signed. The complainant did not appear in court on the day of judgment and turned over the possession of the unit during the eviction process.

After reviewing the complainant file, it was determined that all maintenance concerns that were submitted during the tenancy were addressed and successfully completed in a timely manner.

We complained about mold in our apartment in June until November, and I went to the E.R. for it and was ignored by the company when I sent my medical record in for that. I believe it's completely legal to not pay rent in Kansas for the property manager not providing a habitable environment when an issue is reported, per the lease we signed. We suffered and asked for help but **************, McCullough Development, ************************* ignored us, lied, and performed an abundance of illegal things to get us out.

The residents reported what they thought was a mold issue on June 12th, 2021. It was promptly investigated. It was determined that the "mold" they reported in the mechanical closet was in fact dust. The mechanical closet was cleaned out.

On September 16, 2021, the residents reported further "mold" issues. Again, it was promptly investigated. Issues identified included: 1) bread/buns that had mold on them; 2) dust on the walls near HVAC vents; 3) mold in the sink overflow in the bathroom; 4) water stain underneath one of the sinks. These are all housekeeping issues that needed to be addressed by the residents. Again, the residents had the opportunity to appear in court to plead their case, but they elected not to appear.
