On 1/15/2025, Matthew V. Preister entered into a consent judgment with the Missouri Attorney General in the Circuit Court of Greene County.
The consent judgement settles allegations that Preister, while in his capacity as a manager for another company, solicited advance payments from at least seven Missouri consumers in exchange for roofing services, including labor and materials. That company closed its business in 2021, without forewarning to consumers, without providing promised services and materials and without offering refunds to consumers. Under terms of the consent judgment, Preister agreed to and has paid $20,000 as a settlement and restitution for the impacted consumers.The consent judgment was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law.
