date of event: 11-11-22 price paid to venue: ********* The owner of this establishment had me sign a contract to pay ******* for our wedding. every single time i came in they requested more money from me because they totaled their invoice wrong i paid literally every invoice in cash. I had to request invoices from them multiple times to figure out how much i actually owed since the price kept fluctuating. They would send me the invoice days later with the due date being the same day they sent it to me, not notify me they sent it, therefore charging me late fees. I requested EVERY OUTSTANDING balance due from them & paid it in cash. The morning of my wedding i was unloading my car & the owner stops me in the hallway and refuses to let me leave until i call the catering company, then follows me to my room, corners me in my room and screaming at me that i had to pay the catering company right now (which i assumed was paid for since catering was through them and i requested all outstanding balances). He was screaming at me so much and i couldnt do or to anywhere that my maid of honor had to take my 5 month old (whom was in my arms at the time) away from me and into another room. he had to he escorted out by my event coordinator because he threw me into a full blown panic attack. It basically ruined my day and my husbands day. I am afraid to call him and try to get a resolution due to how he handled what shouldve been a small incident.

******** provides wedding services and venue for events in central *******.  The complaint is from a couple that had not paid for their reception food to the vendor (******** Catering) and vendor was not willing to provide free food for this reception. Until the morning of the wedding and after conversation about the consequences of lack of food, the bride was upset because she did not have funds to pay for the food and it did not matter the circumstance, she was going to be upset.  On the morning of the wedding, bride found out that due to lack of the food, the reception was to proceed but without alcohol present and served.  The **************** *** rules are very clear that alcohol can not be served without presence of food in a reception.  This was contractually conveyed. We made attempt to convey this information and bride was not happy about this.  Grandfather of the groom eventually stepped in and paid for the food, and we were able to conduct the wedding without a hitch after that.

I have never written a bad review. However, I feel obligated to be sure no one else goes through what we experienced at ********. We have now lost our deposit and our leaving our contract because after about 6 months of working together, we were told our wedding plan would not work and that we would need to spend an additional $3,175 (including tax and fees) to upgrade to a larger room OR have a ceremony and cocktail hour under 135 and then invite additional people to meet the 150 minimum required for our reception room. This is after our initial linens quote almost doubled from $1,444 to $2,608- granted, we did request to make an upgrade to chairs at $4/a piece (!!!) and ONE set of lights at $200, but this still does not account for the additional fees. They charged us $21-$27 PER table cloth, with additional charges for each table, every chair, every additional table (cake, cocktail hour), etc. I went to a details meeting where our plan was approved: we got over how much it would cost (even after picking the basic except for chairs and ONE set of lights), because we were told we could have up to 200 for our ceremony and reception, and have a smaller cocktail hour by taking our family and bridal party to do photos during that time. A staff member at ******** even made us blue prints of each room,WITH GUEST COUNTS, charged accordingly for tables, clothes, napkins, etc. then later, when her boss told us we could not use this plan, she claimed we had never discussed numbers. So not only did we end up leaving ******** and losing our $4,921.25 deposit, which they refused to refund despite their horrific customer service, but we spent HOURS on the phone and in meetings trying to make this work to be told nothing but lies. This largely occurs because we would speak to different staff members every time we called/emailed/met in person and constantly had to re-explain our situation. The first person to make us promises about the ****

Coordinating a wedding with ******** has been a terrible, traumatic experience that I shall not soon forget. They have been cold, greedy, and uncompassionate at every turn after signing the contract. Our initial plan for our wedding changed, and ******** was initially understanding and made an effort to accommodate our requests. After the requests were made, three meetings were needed to be scheduled with their owner to try and resolve the issues at hand. Their owner, ****** has backtracked and changed every agreement we made, and with every change came a raise in price. We quickly became overwhelmed by the amount of money ******** was demanding, and lack of customer service we were initially promised. I tried to reconcile our differences and void our contract with over six months in advance of our wedding date. Most weddings that are cancelled are because the relationship falls apart between the bride and groom; my relationship with my partner has grown stronger, while our relationship with ******** has turned rotten. We asked for our deposit back, and presented our issues with ********. They made an effort to try and understand how they could have done better, but shifted the blame saying that they have never received a complaint like the ones we had to offer so our concerns must not be valid. We were planning a wedding that ******** promised we could have, but quickly turned their back on us. I am not saying that this situation will happen to everyone, but to those it does happen to ******** shows no empathy or respect towards their client. We paid ******** $5,000 to be treated as if we were crazy. They refuse to refund even a portion of our deposit despite our event being over 6 months away. They will not only fill the room in this time, but they will profit off of our $5,000 and lack of customer service. This has been a truly awful experience, and I just want a portion of my deposit back. Professionally they have an obligation to return our deposit.
