This company has contacted me and is claiming that I owe the Glendale public library $136.96 claiming that I did not return some items to them. I not only returned the items but I even spoke with someone at the library claiming that they did find them and the reason why they were not taken off of my account was that they were short handed but instead of taking them off of my account they took my account to the Unique. I want this company to leave me alone and stop harassing me over things that I do not owe. I want the threats to damage my credit to not continue.Business response

We are validating the debt with the original creditor and will reply with either a letter stating the account is closed or complete validation information as required by the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act following being made aware that the balance is in dispute by the consumer.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: This company is still trying to keep on charging me for items that I do not owe the library and they are still trying to ruin my credit. I am still demanding for the collections to stop and the credit agency to show proof that I didn't turn the items in and I know that they won't have proof because I turned them in.
